Um, yeah, not so much. The above study has a fatal flaw; http://www.pcworld.com/article/182886/iphone_hogs_half_of_worlds_mobile_data_not_really.html?tk=rss _main

Hey, apologist, take a seat! This is an issue and Verizon shouldn't be charging people for inadvertent key presses. And not everyone is tech savy enough to know how to change key bindings. Classice example, my 65 year old grandmother. She uses a basic cellphone and has no idea what the mobile web is but she's been charged for it because she hit the up key. I'm a VZ customer and love my service but right is right and wrong is wrong and VZ is wrong for not resolving this issue. Still being chatged when you have a block on the phone is BS!

Perhaps you read something in that announcement that I missed. There's no mention of Android that I can find. It says they're creating their own OS. Perhaps you just meant that everyone is making their own OS? Either way, I predict this will be stillborn or only used in their home market. Samsung has never had the balls to stick with anything long enough in the mobile world to be of any consequence.

If you don't get what this commercial has to do with the Droid there's no hope for you! People who couldn't give a hill of beans are seeing these commercials and running to the web or asking their friends about this phone. My 65 year old grandmother who has never owned a cellphone is suddenly interested in buying 1 after all the press the Droid is getting. That's the point of the commercial; to stir up interest!

The story is technically correct but factually inaccurate. The deal doesn't make Bing the default search option but merely places a Bing search app on devices which the user can delete. And in the case of a BlackBerry the app itself isn't installed. It's a link to the app. Most people search from their browser and VZ isn't changing the default search on the browsers.

I've been using 5.0 leaks for a while so there wasn't anything new in this upgrade for me. My youtube didn't get deleted either. And as an added bonus the new version of Google Maps actually works on this release unlike on the .230 leak. All in all I'm a happy camper.

Why are people so damn obsessed with when this, that, or the other launches? It'll get here when it gets here!

Why people expect to get some type of perk on new hardware because they bought the 1st gen is beyond me. I have the Storm and it's a damn decent phone. I also had the 1st gen iPhone and it was a decent phone. Did I expect a discount when the 3G came out, no. No matter what you buy there's always a better model in the works. Deal with it!

I won't flame you but I can guarantee you that the Storm2 won't be released tomorrow or before the end of October.
