I can't tell if you're joking, LOL... But the memo probably meant to say: write the down the "serial number", but taught both GSM and CDMA phones used the same terminology for this(IMEI in this case). The funny things is that on a CDMA phone like from sprint: the Serial number(aka ESN)) is tied to the phone number for tracking purposes. But on a GSM phone like from AT&T: the serial number(aka SIM) is the number needed for tracking purposes and not the IMEI which is just the serial number of that particular phone model . Thus an IMEI tracking would prove useless if the user swaps the SIM card into another phone.
I may not have been there, but I have seen construction/work sites in the city, and I can tell you that despite the lack of cones or workers in the site I wouldn't have fallen on an open manhole unless I was extremely retarded and occupied with txting, LOL... No offense to the parents, just the fact that you want to sue liability for her walking into the open manhole is laughable!
Actually Mr. Schmidt is currently part of Apple's board of directors, so a more shocking surprise would be him using an iPhone, LOL!
Seriously though; he is one of two board members directing at Google and Apple at the same time. Can you say "conflict of interest"?
Nokia needs to diversify!... I agree. But not in the way you think. In fact, Nokia is diversifying itselft; by expanding it's software and hardware offerings beyond its market footprint. Ever heard of them acquiring Navteq, OZ communications, Trolltech for example? Every other manufacturer will be plugin into any one of this Nokia Technologies if not all of them soon enough. Just look at the recent acquisition of Symbian; which is already supported by a vast amount of mobile companies. Right now all the work on the new Symbian OS is well under discussion and development, then you will see how groundbreaking Symbian has and will be. And like behold--me said in his post; Samsung is yet to achieve the level of personal customization on their phone's software despite the range of OS supported.
No, Sprint hasn't carried them cuz they run that lame CDMA network that doesn't let you browse the web and take a call(via Bluetooth of course) at the same time. So much for the Pre being a web connected device huh? Ohh, and just wait until you see a random person in public with the GSM version of the Pre! Just so you know I have nothing against the Palm Pre.
I like how it get's a 10 for multimedia and local connectivity; yet it doesn't support WMV format and it doesn't support object/file transfer over bluetooth... I tried to transfer a customer's contacts from his old sanyo over bluetooth and the Pre was unable to receive them! Come on, even a crappy sanyo phone has better bluetooth handling!
Good, cuz that phone is too much for you to handle. Go buy yourself a limited branded subsidized cheap phone from a carrier that will control what you can or can't do with your phone... For the rest of us who know the benefits of an unlocked, unbranded phone; we'll pay full retail price.
Hopefully AT&T and T-Mobile, but only if they don't restrict anything. The last thing I want is a repeat of the Nokia E61 which got WiFi taken away and then sold through AT&T as the E62. Not that I care honestly, cuz I've never purchased carrier branded phones. I've already pre-ordered my unlocked N97, and I'm excited to get it soon. And if this rumor proves through, then June will be a good month for me!

They don't have to sue all other phone makers because they already have license agreements paid for use of their technology.
