yeah, the Eris is cheaper the Verizon's network is better and it covers more area. I just hope the Eris will get the 2.0 upgrade when it comes out.

Does anyone know the internal memory of the Eris? I was exiting about the Moto Droid with it's 16gb memory card, but found out you can't run apps stored on the SD card. I don't know if it will be an issue with Android app size, but would like to see more internal memory specs before deciding which phone to buy.

For most people it's because their on Verizon and don't have a good choice in phones. Second, as you stated, it's Android 2.0 with several improvements. Third, the new Google Maps Navigation blows away most third party nav apps that you have to pay for. Fourth, the docks are a nice feature. I'm getting the car dock with my Droid.

So, is the $599 price for non-contract? If so, thats about average and I will probably do that since I can't upgrade until June 2010.

I hope the final product looks more like the renderings we saw way back when. Truth is, I don't know if I want to get te Droid or wait for the Hero to come out on VZW. I am not an early adapter and I guess the hands on reviews and time will tell.

I had thought about getting the Storm 2, I really want to get into the smartphone world. Now that Android is coming to Verizon, I am holding off and will get the Droid or the HTC "Hero" for VZW, or what ever they will call it.
