actually, ive been drag and dropping for years, and my album art transfers over just fine... you cant search the web for album art via drag and dropping, but winamp works just fine for that.
i would most definitely agree with your statement... it doesnt truly benefit market competition. sure, phones like the storm and iphone would be on more carriers, but competition amongst carriers would improve. This would also mean that handset manufacturers would have to do more to stand out in a crowd...
thats an awesome story... if only for the fact that he used a sprint 3g aircard to find his lost iphone... and he probably has vzw fios for his home... goes to show that everyone can get along...
why not post how flash is expected for nokia, palm, google, and microsoft (which already has lite on ppc)... major players missing are rim and apple... why no mention of that, phone arena?
it would behoove palm to open the os to multiple carriers, as they have done in the past. but historically speaking, palm and sprint have always had a good relationship. the difference with sprint is, this is their flagship phone without question. for vzw, its the storm. for at&t, its the iphone. and for tmobile, its the g1 (anything android). it makes sense for palm to debut on sprint, since its going to garner the most attention by one carrier. that way, they can get user feedback, and build on it by the time it opens up to other carriers. i dont think the pre will hit other carriers, but handsets that run web os will most definitely hit other carriers. notice how vzw said devices "like" the pre. i dont see a problem in that at all...
that seems very interesting... nice to see someone other than apple is giving love to those that use macs... for the longest, it was a pain to sync your (insert smartphone here) with a mac (from what i have heard)...

The screen resolution is actually higher than the iphone and the pre, but I agree with your point regarding the OS. Dont leave Android out...

in regards to htc devices, vzw "cripples" the phone by having a slower processor and less ram than the original versions...
