Love the obnoxious fanboyism. "We have Apps...We have Apps..." Enjoy your Apps, but Apps alone don't make a phone good. How is your signal, call quality, battery life, and quality of service?

I don't own an iPhone. I don't plan to. But on Verizon I don't drop calls, my phone lasts all day with heavy use, my data speeds are nice, and I have no issues with anything in general.

When I was on AT&T, I dropped calls, quality faded in and out, Didn't use data, so I can't comment there, and had to deal with some of the worst CS outside of Comcast.

I hope people with iPhones on AT&T are as happy with AT&T as I and others are on Verizon. THIS is why the DRIOD has a good chance to be a great phone.

LMAO!!! Loving this one. First, AT&T sue VZW for stating they have the "most reliable 3G" Meanwhile AT&T advertises, and continues to advertise the "Fastest 3G". Now AT&T doesn't like their "Fastest" 3G coverage map called out. I thought they were proud of their 3G network. Now we all see that they arew ashamed of it's truy low coverage.

VZW will walk away from this one just fine. The statement is very well made that it IS a 3G map. Those who think shouldn't be punished for those that don't.

1.3MP camera, no card slot, and no high speed data? Why does Nokia hate Verizon so much? We haven't had a single high end Nokia.

I can't wait to see how this one works out. It'll either be a great success or colossal failure. For my friends on AT&T I hope for success, but for my personal entertainment, I hope for a fail.

I'm sure the related numbers still signify an issue above the standard. Keep in mind, that the Tour isn't "Hot" tech to the average person. It's actually designed to the same general look and feel of many other BBs. The specs are for us geeks out there to appreciate. But I do agree with your statement about people's lack of forethought and lack of general knowledge.

I am a great candidate for my Omnia, being a tech fanatic, while my fiancee isn't as ideal. However, what she needs is a good browser, and a phone I can fix (She has baaaad phone mombo-jombo). No feature-phone offers either of those options, so I got her an Omnia as well.

It could be that 32MB gets reserved for the GPU, and therefore is removed from the listed available RAM, similar to an integrated GPU on a motherboard. Not sure, but good eye catching that one.

They break costing your mom cash... That really takes some of the merit out of your case. If the phones broke all due to warranty issue, Verizon should be replacing the accessories. Also, after the first 2 LGs you already have both post types they typically use.

Also, in regards to the smartphone comment. Smartphones don't have increased build quality...just increased capability.

Sounds like you are a prime candidate for a G'Zone or maybe the new Casio. You probably need the MIL spec gear with how many you break.

To my knowledge, Backup Assistant it not available on the Omnia...BUT, Google Sync is and will keep all of your contacts, calendar entries, even caller ID pictures backed up for you.

SPB Shell is a completely different type of program. It doesn't change the ROM at all, so it doesn't matter if you install and then uninstall it. That's the great thing about a SmartPhone...If you set yourself up right, you can format the phone on the fly and have everything reinstalled fresh in an hour at most.

That said...I am using WoZZeR's 6.5 M2D ROM, and so far, I'm quite happy with it. Though I will try out the 6.5 lite ROM with SPB MS3 tonight.
