It may be lacking some of the more advanced features but that doesn't make it a bad phone. There are plenty of people who just want text and talk and could care less about the screen, camera and capabilities beyond basic usage. This will be a big seller like the Env3 and Rival, esspecially with the price being so low.
It could be the application you downloaded. Certain apps requrie MB usage to use (even after you purchase them) and if you aren't subscribed to a data plan it will go at $1.99 per MB charge. That's my guess. It happened to me with a game I purchased.
That's not correct. That was true but when this phone releases, it and all future phones that have full HTML will require a data package either alone, or as part of your plan : aka: connect and premium. Just like it is a requirement for PDA's to have data now.
You're right about the price.
I hope it will have a virtual keyboard too, and all the specks I've read lead me to believe it will.
It will be avaliable for purchase in stores and online on the 8th of Septemeber.
Hope you like it :)
It will be $99.99 after the $100.00 rebate the for either a new two year contract or an eligblie two year upgrade(had the phone for 20 months of the 24 month contract). One year new activations and annual upgrades(had the phone for one year) is $169.99 after rebate.
It's a AMOLED screen, which basically means it will be brighther and more colorful while using less energy to power it, which means longer batter life.
Connect includes ulimited MB usage for an additional $10 over Select plans. Premium also includes unlimited MB usage for $20 over Select plans in addition to including VCAST and VZNav. If you aren't on a connect or premium plan then you will have to add the data for $15 through VCAST. I haven't heard of any MB caps for anything other than smart phone tethering options and aircards.
It's $199.99 with a $100.00 rebate. So $99.99 on a 2 year after rebate. $269.99 before rebate for a 1 year. It's been confirmed with the Verizon equipment guide. It will also require Vcast subscription, or a Connect or Premium price plan.
May I ask where you are getting your informatin from? One bad employee of any company doesn't mean that the whole company is corupt. I have worked for one of those agents for the last three years and have never heard of such a thing.

They are in the process of making a CDMA one with Verizon, but won't be out till sometime in 2010.
