Palm is going to do very well with this one but still wont take the iphone down ((dam i hate myself for say that)). The g1 almost had it on lock but nooooooo, they just had to make the phone ugly ((i still own 1 tho the OS is great)). I love my G1 but palm will do better than HTC because not only did they come with the OS they made a great looking phone, just not great enough to take down apple from the hall of fame ((don't think they can sell 1million just on the weekend))
Your half right on this one. Its true that its going to be the same OS as the g1 but on a different phone (key word DIFFERENT). while the OS may be the same the phones can be totally different, like the g1 don't do multi-touch this one might, the g1 don't have a 3.5mm jack this one might, this one might have a 3.5"screen (bigger than the g1 3.2"), this one might be a full touch screen (losing that g1 chin) and the list can go on and on. So while the OS is the same, the phone that the OS is running on is just as important.
P.S. and for my last wish this one might just be the touch HD running Android with a 8mp camera
Well the pearl don't compete with the curve or the bold. The bold and the curve that AT&T currently offers are running on 2 different OS, the curve has 4.2 but if you know your way around you can get a beta version of 4.5 (will slow the phone down really bad) while the bold and curve 8900 has 4.6 right out of the box. The current curve cant compete with the bold in no way or form while the new 8900 could draw attention away from it (if you don't mind not having 3g and a slightly smaller screen)
why not? why would AT&T get this phone when they have the bold with 3g. the curve 8900 has no 3g and a step down from the bold which makes it perfect for T-mobile that is a smaller network with very little 3g, so i don't get why you would say that. Verizon and Sprint cant use this phone because its a gsm phone (well for now) so T-mobile is the best bet. i like AT&T and Verizon but hate when people bring another network down.
i'm waiting for the next HTC android phone or even a samsung one. People are not going to really feel this one but for only $200 with no contract i'm sure its going to sell very well.
guess your wish may come true, read the news about upcoming blackberry's for 2009. looks like the bold might have a touch screen in 2009. still not as small as the curve but its close to what you asked for.
they didnt say ppl leave vzw to get the bold they said who ever didnt get the storm got the bold....my friend was out of his contract with t-mobile and he had the choice of the bold or the storm and he took the bold. He didnt leave vzw, so when they say who ever didnt get the storm got the bold they were just talking blackberry users in general not companies.
