Almost Truth... the i910 Omnia I was good..... AFTER you flashed a custome rom that removed all of the VZW crap that comes preinstalled like Visual Voicemail, VZNav, ShitSync... I mean WirelessSync, etc. We'll see how this does. I was excited for this phone in august, but now I will wait for the next HTC HD2 or Passion.

If you would just read their review guidelines, they write review for the phones for carriers compared to other phones by type and by that same carrier. So when the Pre got a 9.9 rating it was becuase it blew away anything sprint had in its line-up and it was a revolutionary OS. The pixi got a 9, becuase the only addition to sprint's line-up worth mentioning since the pre wer the TP2 and the Hero. If the pixi or the Pre were on VZW right now, I bet they would get a lower rating, but not by much. And honestly, the droid is cool, but the Pre is still a superior phone.

I agree a slider no matter how good it is built, will ultimately fail, the more moving parts (i.e. Keys, buttons, sliding mechanisms) the higher the prbability of error because even if all parts are 99% reliable, 30-50 parts = like a 70% reliable device). Palm needs to make a HTC HD2 clone of the WebOS phone and like a 1500mah battery. That would be sick. Lose the keyboard and focus more on the OS.

Neo, I mean Mr. Anderson,

I agree with you bashing the blatant vzw rep stating the samsung rogue and the enV Touch offer the same capabilities. The pre's webOS is infinitely better than and BREW/Feature phone available. He wouldn't say that if VZW had the Pre of the Pixi, but he has to bash a great phone b/c it isn't on the VZW network. But let the Apple bashing continue as I hate apple so I could care less who gets the phone when at&T is the exclusive US carrier anymore, I will hate everyone that owns one ,independent of carrier, equally.
Microsoft>Apple
HTC>Apple
Pre/Pixi>iPhone
Android>Apple
Feature Phones>Apple

I totally agree, the Pre and the Hero, and the TP2 are the only things keeping sprint afloat and they choose to advertise their shitty unlimited plans... really? If it isn't obvious by now, people don't care what plans you are offering for the most part otherwise everyone would have T-Mo or Boost, or Cricket. Stop selling the garbage that is your sinking plans and start selling what your phones can do and the diversity of your smartline. HTC and Palm are doing better advertising for sprint right now than sprint is.
GET WITH THE PROGRAM SPRINT! If you fall there is less competition, and we as consumers lose a little of our leverage.

Even with 40 million subs and bleeding 1million/year, sprint still stands to last another 5-10 years at least... but not much longer when LTE is the Global standard and Sprint is the only company in the world using WiMax. Google and Time Warner have officially said they will no longer put money into wimax. Sorry sprint, get with the program or continue to bleed.

If i were VZW i would ignore this add, as it still doesn't squelch what they are saying in their newest (whether it be foolish or childish) market attack against AT&T. Yes CDMA is limited by not allowing data and voice to be complete at the same time, but how many people relaly want to talk and browse the web at the same time? Video calling is used by less than 5% of all AT&T's subscribers, and it costs more for right now. AT&T's has potentially faster 3G coverage than VZW, but in a smaller market, and the 3G is bogged down by the super high use of data with the iPhone. AT&T needs to shut VZW up by making their 3g network bigger, not faster. Putting the "carriage before the horse" gets you no where. Becuase VZW has invested in their 3G market waaay more than AT&T they are in a better way to position that leverage against AT&T. And with the larger market comes a larger saturation for revenue, which has allowed VZW to invest more in LTE which will be waaay faster than HSPA when available. VZW will probably have LTE in a larger market before AT&T finishes implementing their HSPA to match what VZW's EVDO Rev-A does now, and even before AT&T starts building their LTE network. I think AT&T needs to abandon their current 3G growth and focus on 4G or they will be in a world of hurt.

Basically AT&T needs to go toe-to-toe with VZW with LTE in order to shut VZW up and VZW needs to stop talking jabs at the iPhone and start throwing their weight at Apple and stop beating around the bush if they want the phone.

Like i have said before, I don't like Apple products at all, but there are many that do and use them well. To each their own.

Why give him a -1 for his opinion. I too am a huge WinMo fan so I will wait for a better WinMo phone rather than jump ship to the Android Platform. I wanted the omnia2, but now that there are rumars of the HD2 coming stateside, I will wait for that. I think if the Omnia 2 had come out with 6.1 back in septermber I would have bought it. I think VZW purposefully held back O2 for the release of Android phones to make a huge splash in the market. T-Mo didn't market the android release as well as VZW did, so the hype was lessened.

instinctDemon, your post is right on. I feel that the more people I know that have an iPhone use it becuase it makes them look cool, rather than because they actually like apple. Apple's marketing is GENIUS! They make a decent product, make sheep want to buy it, then 4 months later release a slightly better product that is identical in almost every way, then market that the new one is soooooo much better that the sheep that bought the first generation would look so stupid for carrying the old one that they "NEED" to upgrade to the new one and spend another rediculous amount of money. There was a MadTV sketch that made fun of this very topic. the "iScrewed" sketch. It is funny.

It better have 6.5, soon upgraded to 6.5.1, and I think I will buy it, IF the HD2 doesn't come to CDMA soon as I have VZW. But I was excited to buy this phone, just like the omnia 2, about 6e months ago. With better devices already available, I don't see the point of "upgrading" to an inferior device. Poor Toshiba, this phone would have been big in August on VZW or Sprint. But with the TP2, the Imagio/Whitestone, Pixi and Pre, and DROID and Eris for competition, this phone would sit on the back burner.
