Oh there's no "mostly" about it my friend; they're ALL iPhone apps. Which again, is a good point that someone else already brought up...ATT doesn't even have those 100k apps; Apple does. And when the iPhone opens up to other carriers next year, those other carriers will also have those 100k apps. Poor poor ATT. All those subs and really nothing to show for it!

So then, by your arguement, your life is going to get pretty shitty when your precious network FINALLY gets around to rolling out its LTE network I guess. Man, that's gotta suck for you...you know, having such a great 3G network now (and by your standards) actually getting worse when LTE is the standard. Man, that's rough. LTE is the NEXT generation of the the telecom industry. Usually the tech that comes AFTER a current one, is superior, otherwise it wouldn't be considered "next gen" (4G). Geez, you're an idiot. And personally, I've never needed or wanted to get data while I'm on a call. Usually when I'm on a call, I'm LISTENING to what the person on the other end is actually talking about...you know, it's that little thing called etiquette.

Uh sorry buddy, but you've got the wrong article!

Maybe you're color blind. It looks pretty purple to me, and I AM colorblind. Only to light shades of pink and green. So I guess we all now know that I'm not a pilot:)

My bad...I meant to say Luke Wilson.

Ha! Yeah not to mention ATT should amend the statement "most popular smartphones" to "smartphone". And also mention that the 100,000 apps only apply to that particular "smartphone". Oh, and then also mention that sure, that smartphone can talk and surf the web, but try multitasking in any 2nd or 3rd party apps, and then tell what's what. As much as I actually like the iPhone, ATT is just digging themselves a bigger hole with this add. And I even like Owen Wilson...when he was in Old School.

I prefer the purple much more to the pink.

I think that's wishful thinking pal. Especially in the way ATT hasn't really invested a dime into their network for years, and then all of a sudden realizes they need to compete, and then throw some MINIMAL cash at the problem to just cover their bases. All the while VZW throws almost $6 billion/year into their network, EVERY YEAR, and stays ahead of the game. Not to mention the fact that since VZW is not a publicly traded company they don't have to pay out dividends to stakeholders. Instead they have taken that money and invested WISELY, and continuously into their network and thus going live with LTE next year. Yes, Vodafone is a minority stake holder (45%), but VZW and Vodafone's dividend contracts ran up in 2006, and to my knowledge have not renegotiated a new deal. By the time ATT finally decides that maybe they should start in on an LTE network, my guess is VZWs LTE network will prolly be almost entirely built out.
