Curve was great. Had it since release. 3 times the system memory and 4 times ram. Can't complain. Always ran out of space for apps

The width of the phone makes it a bit awkward for my medium sized hands to type fast. I am coming from a Curve since release so it will take a bit of adjusting. Virtual keyboard works great in both modes. Camera is great. Multitasking is fast. Only lag is when something installs which is obvious why there would be some. No lag when switching screens or apps. Browser is great.

Yes, you will need a $29.99 data plan, as it is a smartphone/pda.

Android is a mobile Operating System developed by Google and used for mobile phones.

The excitement is that it is a open development platform, no having going through the randomness and wait of a Apple AppStore.
Also more and variety apps can be developed and not restricted to what the iPhone disallows programs to do.

Its still in its infancy but with a lot of Android phones coming out soon, expect a lot more than the 10k applications there is in the near future, along with different takes on how the phone operates.

That isn't the same as being offered... you can keep it and grandfather it over. But no one else can get it now.

Even so more and more are on select plans and it is only $10 to get a connect for unlimited data.

Have not see one Tour yet come back yet with problems.

Had the Curve since launch day on Verizon and haven't had to clean it once. I prefer the trackball vs trackpad like what the Saga has.

and lol at this article... verizon angry""". Who said that... cause Verizon would not been pushing BOBO for the better half of the year and pushing to get the Storm exclusively and getting a revamp before the holiday season.

To me it did not feel even close to cheap to the Rival. Sliding feels strong and solid and don't believe it ll break easy. At $50 don't expect something quite as solid as the enV3 (which is sold at $130). Also it does not have EVDO much like the Sway.

For the value I expect to sell quite a few of these. Already sold our first shipment of 3.

RIM runs your Blackery Internet Service for email, which is part of the agreement in data plans and they get some of that money.

I do agree there should be say...for $100 you can get a blackberry or smartphone without data activated. There are a lot of people that want the phone for all of its features other than having constant internet connection and instant email. Games, the appointment are a world of differenence to nonsmartphones, along with the ability to sync with your computer (tho the more tech savvy know to use Bitpim for nonsmartphone access).

But that is probably the minority and they do not wish to open up that access. Or think that to many consumers are buying iPhones because of the cool factor and it is what is "In" at the moment, they can make them pay more montly for the phone they really want, but features they will rarely use.
