Voice Guaranteed no, its a tablet/computer afterall. Text...Depends on carrier if it was on vzw it would have texting capabilities, but why would u wanna turn on ur computer on or have it on 24/7 just to send/receive sms. It is 10 Inches thats pretty stinking big to put up to your ear for phone calls.

Anyone Who Says mac's suck usually has never used one or used one like 5 years ago. Switched to Mac last year and i wish i had done it sooner.

Sort of, Higher Resolution Screem I like hte form factor better than any ohter one available from VZW, Runs on Rev A and has Full Keyboard unlike storm...... So not really same as any ohter blackberry, and if spec sheet is correct it also says Standalone GPS as well as Assisted GPS which may mean no need for cell service to use.... I think im the first to notice this on spec sheet

The update is to fix an issue when the device was OTA Programed (*228) and you power cycled it it would stometimes not allow you to use data features, thats what has been fixed.
