I can't wait until my fridge sends an instant message to my 4g device indicating that my inventory of beer and cheese appears to be low, followed by a link directing me with turn by turn directions to the store that has the cheapest prices. Mmmmmm... the possibilities of LTE integration are unlimited.
Pretty sure the chip is different. I read an article refering to the new chip in the next iPhone having 802.11 wifi and no one knew why. This must be why. The article was some spec sheet leek from gizmodo.
Just give gmail some Push for the iPhone already, I don't want another icon for my Gmail account! I had to set up a yahoo! account just to have a means of Push communication via email.
I agree. I think it should be a two sided app. One side is a program that runs in the back ground and is constantly connected. The second side is installed on your windows machine or macintosh. If you come to find your phone is stolen or lost, activate the program and it allows you to see where your phone is via the built in gps that is awakened by the internet connection on the phone triggered by the computer program. If it is discovered that the phone is stolen and not just lost, the program provides the ability to send up to date gps coordinates the local authorities so that the violater can be apprehended and ultimately your phone returned. This method makes it so that only the user can initiate action. My 2 pennies.
Yeah, such a rocket scientist as YOURSELF should notice how rehnhart made no mention of verizon manufacturing the phones. Everyone knows the carrier has a choice in what is done to their lineup of phones. What a fucking moron you are if you think the carrier has no choice in what is done with their exclusive phones. The reason for verizon to "trickle" features into phones instead of releasing a 5 mp, mediaflo, capacitive touch, slider is so that the consumer always feels the need to get the next best phone. Instead of feeling as though "my phone is just as good as any other" for 3 years until considerably better tech comes out. Money, son. They don't want another 5mp phone that will cut into the omnia's sales due to the lost revenue on PDA data plans.
I don't have this phone, Pr0cl1v1ty. I don't even have T-Mobile. What I made was a sarcastic remark that involved QUOTING phone arena's review. Notice the lovely QUOTATION marks which elegantly indicate my reference to the relevant article that we are discussing. If you would please take the time to read phonearena.com's review of this device, specifically the performance section, then return and re-comment it would be much appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.
"Unfortunately call quality was downright abysmal. Callers frequently had to ask us to repeat ourselves, and told us that this was the worst phone we’ve ever tested. " Rated 9.5 out of 10 by phonearena.com
I can see the advertising campaign now......
This might have been a different story if the camera by itself was rated on a different website (i.e. dpreview.com). But on a phone web site when a phone is said to be "the worst phone we ever tested", it is safe to say that it does not deserve a 9.5 rating. Just my 2 cents.
"It’s only valid if the purpose is to foster interoperability with independently created software" this to me sounds exactly why everyone Jailbreaks their iPhone. To use software that is not available via the Appstore such as Cycorder and unique themes. I think this one aspect alone protects us as consumers and our right to Jailbreak it.
t-won, you are an idiot. First of all, it just isn't classy to celebrate lay-offs and strikes. Second, I am not sure where the need for personal strikes comes in to play. All I said was that the reply was funny and that Sprint has garbage cust care and reception. I am not a fanboy, just a Sprint anti-fanboy. I went to training with a former sprint rep who was worse than most of the car salesmen that have helped me. He had no real product knowledge, was pushy, and seemed really shady. After visiting a couple of your stores, I have to say that I get that same feeling from a large amount of sprint reps. And FINALLY, you have no idea if we are going to strike or not. I don't even think you know what a union is, but I am just judging that off of the fact that you never use punctuation or capital letters. Just in case you do, though, the CWA has stopped the clock with AT&T for 30 days past the date of contract expiration. So hopefully we won't even strike.
