1. I'm really happy with the G900

I've used this phone since January and I absolutely love it.
I've read all the comments and I must say I'm surprised because some people said that they have had issues with the phone, and I HONESTLY can tell that my unit is perfectly fine. It has no lag at all, it's really fast and it performs great.
I've had so much fun playing a ton of amazing games with stunning graphics, I have like 40 applications on the device.
Also it is very handy for every day tasks, and that's something I wasn't even expecting.
I would recommend people to check their units, because as I mention before, mine is completely fine.
Overall it's one of the best phones out there, and I have tried a lot of them, incluiding the iPhone 3GS, the HTC Diamond, the G1, Blackberry Storm, among other. It's definitely worth checking out.
Features
Capable of high quality graphics, with OpenGL games.
Touch Interface
Fully Customizable

Hi,
I was using this phone for the past 8 months, just after its launched. There are many cons than pros for me.One of the main thing is its very slow.I told this problme to the sony authorised service center and they reinstalled the OS still there is no change.Another problem is the strange behaviour of the touch panel.Sometimes it wont works, after 2-3 switch off's and on it will work. The same thing will happen after 2-3 weeks.Another problem with this phone is that we cant record a talk using this phone. After paying this much amount there are no enough features for this phone. So think twice before buying this phone.
Easy to hande,Nice look,thinvery slow,cannot record a phone call,strange behaviour,untrusty touchpad

3. Very disappointing

I bought the G900 because my main phone (K850i) was sent to repair. I have been using SE phones for the last 4-5 years, but I really had no expectations, since it was only supposed to be my spare phone.
I must admit that it looked very nice indeed, but then I realized one disappointment after the other, starting already when I turned on the device. The first thing that struck me was the lag. It was so extremely slow, that I actually thought it had frozen, but after several minutes it was ready to use.
The touch feature works quite good, only the rosponse were overall incredibly slow (and I mean VERY slow), and after a few tries, I simply chose to use the physical keys insted. During the next 3-4 days I had a series of strange experiences, such as no illumination of keys while writing in darkness, constantly illumination of both keypad and display while charging, constantly appearing message promts about local time settings, which led to an annoying guide asking for different information (and this is really annoying when you are interrupted composing an sms, for instance) and finally I found it really strange that my contacts from the k850i coulnd't be syncronized to the G900. Of course I could copy them to the phone, but they were shown in some very creative ways making it really really HARD to find the right contact.
Most of the features on this phone, including the new on screen menu for instance, are of course liked or disliked by different individual persons, so I don't wanna go into a deeper describtion of that, but I never found it logic, so I was very pleased to recieve my good old K850i after rep, and overall I found this phone so bad, that it couldn't even serve as my spare phone, so I recommend you try it out in real life before throwing money after it.
Dedicated keypad lock button
Primary and secondary language settingsSlow (!)
Annoying pop-ups
Annoying interface
Useless touch-feature
Unlogic menus
"Strange behavior" - it never felt natural

4. my mobile!

i have been using this mobile for the past 9 months since its launch. i selected this model after a lot of research and am pretty happy with this mobile. after my suggestion even my friend got it. but both of us faced similar problems within the same span of time.
first and foremost the plastic strip around the navigation key peeled of for both of us even when we handled the mobile with atmost care. the strip had connection with the touch panel and hence the entire touch panel has to be changed. it was replaced under warranty by the company but after a lot of argument!!!!!!!
the mobile is pretty slow even after upgrading the software thrice.
now a days i face a peculiar prob of the mobile getting hot even after using it for a while! even after servicing this prob prevails!! hope it doesn affect the motherboard unlike my previous W810.
though it has all these short coming, i like my mobile a lot. coz of its immense features.
features
decent looks
light in weightneed service regularly
fully charged battery withstand only for a day (max limit!!!)
slow processing speed
no ringing of alarm when the phone is switched off

I've had this phone for about two months now. And I have nothing bad to say about it.
It has a great camera, media player and with Wi-Fi it's an awesome all in one, small, handheld device.
Altought I have to say that people have told me that the old Firmware was buggy and laggy, so I would recommend to update it.

7. my pro and cons of this phone

The phone looks good, feels good and simply is good...
I believe that sony has achieved exactly what they wanted.
A phone that is full of multimedia pleasure, but offers some extras.
- Speedy navigation
- Fast camera, the autofocus is really fast and good
- good image quality
- good video quality
- good web browser speed (for a mobile device)
- good battery life, in despite what some say or perhaps i'm just lucky xD
- touchscreen !!! and it does an excellent job- it takes 2 sec to load a new message, even after it is the ram memory. If not it takes even longer.
- the default theme is verry laggy (but the other ones are OK ^^)
- quite laggy when opening apps for the first time, but once in the ram memory they work jsut fine :)

8. Poor Battery Life

ive been using this phone for a month now, works perfectly!
but the only problem im facing is the battery life.
my phone doesnt last a day.
i had a nokia n73 before and surprizingly that phone lasted 1.5 days as compared to g900's 1 day max.
if i talk via the bluetooth handsfree, talktime is reduced to 3 hrs
even if i dont use wifi, bluetooth, etc and perform basic phone functions like sms and calling, it doesnt last a day.
I would not recommend this phone to someone who has a talktime of 4-5 hrs in a day.
other that the battery life, g900 rocks!
Good built
both Touch and keypad functions
decent camera
no compatibility problems with pc suite
poor battery life
a little difficulty in accessing functions
interface could have been made more user friendly

9. Not as easy to use as it could have been.

Recently purchased the phone because I was attracted by it's compact size and feature list but found that many of the features are difficult to access compared with earlier models by Sony Ericsson. The menu system is not as easy to use as the old P910i and P990i models and the smaller screen makes the onscreen keyboard (my favorite input method) is trickier with the smaller letters.
The physical size makes it impossible to include a stylus as long as the older models had, unless you want a fiddly telescoping type, so my big hands don't fit it very well. The combination of short stylus and smaller screen emphasizes the problem. That is a trade off that you need to weigh up for yourselves, I had the chance to try a demo model and I thought that I will probably get used to it.
If only I could find the profiles menu.
Small physical size and weight
Great battery life
Touch screen
Clear calls
Wi Fi
Loud ring tones (useful as an alarm for heavy sleepers like me)No profiles menu
Screen washes out in sunlight
Poorly arranged menus for some functions
Small screen size makes a lot of things hard to see
Fiddly battery cover and SIM card holder
