Yes, we have heard this one before. With Macworld approaching, rumors are spreading that Apple will be introducing an iPhone Nano. With a smaller, lower resolution screen, this phone is expected to be wider and thicker than the the iPhone 3G.

While rumors of such a device have burned through the Internet before, this time there is some basis for this being for real. XSKN, a company that offers protective silicon skins for cell phones, has put up for sale on their web site, a covering for the Nano. And if you're still skeptical you might want to know that the same firm put up for sale protective skins for the iPhone 3G before it was officially announced by Apple.

First comment............... Apple are just starting to over kill it now. Apple should just stick to iphones, ipods, laptops e.t.c and should not be stupid by putting different softwares on nanos Specially one's with small screen and rubbish resolution. Over all this is just my opinion everyone will have different thoughts about it. Thanks for reading take care bye.

If done correctly, this could be big for Apple. I'm not a fan of Apple, but they did really good with the iPhone. They can't try to make the iPhone Nano as small as possible, cus that won't work with touchscreens or the iPhone OS.

BGR says it's most likely a scam "for a few pennies before the holiday". I doubt an Iphone nano will happen soon. A nano-touch would be more believable.

Meh, I'm open to such an idea, especially if it was a VZW phone that was like the iphone, sans the expensive data. I don't personally NEED data, so an iphone nano with messaging, phone, ipod and maybe mobile web 2.0 would work well for me personally. Not sure about anyone else though. And depending on what the form factor came out to be, it might just work.

It would not surprise me to see a smaller version of the iphone. The Pearl has done well and it is just a smaller BB. I also do not see why a company would make a case for a phone that does not exist.
