Performance:
Despite the comparatively weak processor Texas Instruments OMAP 850, running at 195 MHz, Smartflip’s work is remarkably stable and fast and remains so even with a number of loaded applications in the RAM.
We were exceptionally pleased by its performance as a telephone – it has quite a strong signal in spite of the built-in antenna and it did quite well and exceeded the norm. Though it did not achieve the level of the leading phones like Blackberry Pearl, it still can be considered very reliable in areas with weak signal.
During conversation it is also up-to-standard – the other side can hear you very well, with sufficient sound volume and clearly, without any noise at that. The sound of the voice is realistic and with a rich key. You hear a bit more low frequency than in reality, but it is clear and distinct – sound volume is above average which makes the phone perfectly usable even in very noisy environments.
Conclusion:
Smartflip is definitely a telephone that does not disappoint its users: it has a good design and a solid surface, which is pleasant to touch, revealing its high class. Apart from being a multi-functional device (thanks to its operating system), it has a very good performance as a phone – it works fast, strong signal reception, and the sound quality is high – the phone easily copes with its main obligation.

PAppeal
- Christian Dior:
- High
If you care for your style but need functionality, the Smartflip is one of the best-looking Smartphones out on the market. In relatively slim, well-done package it offers plenty of features.
- Average Joe:
- Very low
You won’t need a phone like that – if slim is what you need, you can get the RAZR at smaller price and with less complicated interface.
- Corporate US:
- Low
As a Windows Mobile Smartphone, the Smartflip has usable email client and Internet browser. The voice quality is also good.
- High-Tech junkie
- High
Considering the size, the Smartflip has plenty of features. Comparing it to other WM Smartphones, you will miss the WiFi, faster processor, better camera and standard connectors.
