Verizon's Samsung Omnia II to come out in July This article contains unofficial information.

Shortly after Samsung announced its four new Omnia phones, a word quickly spread that Verizon had plans to carry the Omnia II. However, information about the release date was missing so it wasn’t certain when to expect the successor. Now, thanks to a tipster of ours who claims to have contacted Verizon Wireless, we know the carrier intends to make the smartphone available sometime in July. We really hope this info turns out true so that we are finally able to get our hands on the sweet smartphone from Samsung. What about you – are you excited to see the new Omnia as soon as next month?

looking at the leaked rebate sheet for the blackberry tour, the samsung omnia 2 was not on it. So unless they plan on selling this phone with no rebate or releasing a special rebate, I would say it wouldnt be out till august.

the omnia comes with wm 6.1, but it is upgradable to wm 6.5, if this changes anything.

its still winmo 6.1 no way in heck. no thanks. i had the omnia, i have a storm. BB all the way. you can make winmo as flashy you want, it doesnt hide how clunky and unreliable it is. no thanks no way no how.

Didn't some article on one of these forums report that this phone would come with WM 6.1 but then be upgradeable to WM 6.5?
