Verizon's October rebate form missing some new phones?

With the CTIA 2009 fall expo coming to a close, the only major phone showcased for Verizon was the upcoming Samsung Omnia II i920 smartphone. We were hoping to see it come out this month, but that may not be the case if you go by what's listed (or not listed) on the new Verizon Wireless Rebate Form, dated October 4th to November 7th. Not only is the Samsung Omnia II missing, but so are the Motorola A855 Droid (aka Tao/Sholes), BlackBerry Storm 2, Casio Rock, and LG Chocolate Touch VX8575. In fact, the only new products listed on the rebate form that haven't officially been announced yet are two Netbooks from HP, the Mini 110-1046NR and Mini 311-1037NR, as both will have a $100 mail-in-rebate. Here's hoping that we'll see some of these new phones released in November, or at least by Black Friday.

Nov 14? But on phoneaena it says Oct 14. And that explains the lack of omnia2 on the rebate sheet...it's such an old phone now, because phonearena reported it was out back on aug 23.

I no longer look for info on phonearena, i just look for cheap laughs. It works!

Keep in mind that verizon has released phones without them being on the rebate form in the past (original storm). They had a separate rebate form for that when it was first released. So there is still hope for an October release!

I am so sick of these companies keeping their release date like its a national secret, when are we going to get smart and just tell them to go to hell. Verizon likes to tease and release little tidbits here and there, grow up release the f*****king dates and let us as consumers make an informed decision whether to wait for a particular phone or go elsewhere.

you just answered your own question to why they don't release the dates. it keeps everyone speculating and keeps the phones fresh in your minds whether you are pissed about it or not. you are fueling the fire of speculation which builds hype in the devices so maybe you should be yelling at yourself and not verizon
