We've received information that Verizon is preparing to launch a device known as the MiFi 2200. Based on the info and pictures, it appears that the device is a personal Hotspot with built-in rechargeable battery. Your laptop will connect to it via WiFi (or USB cable) and then the MiFi 2200 connects to Verizon's EVDO data network (we're not sure if EVDO Rev A is supported). Unfortunately, the information doesn't say how many laptops can be connected to it at once. We'll keep our eye out for this at CTIA.
