Is that so???? To many an I Phone killer would be a phone that people would wait in line for days to purchase it. Although this is a very nice phone (PDA) I do not see people waiting in line for this. Once another phone reaches that level only then would I as well as many other consider it an I killer. I will also say that the touch interface will not match the I Phone. No matter how hard the try it just dosen't messure up/

i agree with you but those people with no life pay your salary if you are in this industry. So if you are in this industry next time you don't hit your quota, make sure you tell the no life people who wait in line for phones to maybe put their no life on hold to maybe do business with you. NOT

Did you not hear about the sales of the voyager (i'm not saying its as good as the ipone)... verizon launched it with a total 25000 just like the ipone launched with... it took 30 days for all stores to sell out of the ipone and only 3 hours for verizon stores to sell out of the voyager.... and yes i work for a verizon store and i did have people waiting in line for that phone the day it launched along with also having a waiting list of 50+ people.

you can say what you want about all those crazy apple people that waited in line for the iphone. i work in a mall near an apple store and there was a line all the way around the mall. and the next day they couldn't get ride of the ones they had left in stock. . great, they had one big push but thats it. noone waited in line for the 3g iphone. and check you numbers. blackberry outsold the iphone in the first and second quarter this year. so whos better? it's personal preference but blackberry has the numbers in gross sales to back there quality!

Will this be usable in the Philippines or H.K. with a Globe or Smart sim card? Would love to pick one up before we go on holiday; otherwise, I'll just get a throwaway dumbphone.

Hopefully this phone will live up to the hype. It looks and sounds good so far. Wish I could afford the BB plan though.

iPhone's overrated! Haha. That's just my opinion though.

everyone gets so exited and defencive over phones that arent out yet. Rim makes good and bad phones just like everyone else, including Apple. Curve = good phone, Pearl = bad phone. Iphone gen1 = good phone, 3giphone = badphone. Same thing. Quit being fanboys, and lets judge it when it releases.
And for all those "i know more than you" people.. just knock it off, most of you are wrong when you spout out crap. Being RIMs first all touch PDA, its exiting and scary.. will it be beautiful or buggy? i cant wait to find out.

Can't wait for this phone! I don't know about Verizon dropping their GSM towers cause if you remember a while back Verizon did state that they would be converting to GSM in the future so it would make no sense to convert towers, drop them, or sell them when they are going to need them soon.

Verizon has never said they will convert to gsm. While LTE is considered very similar, if not the next generation of gsm, it's not the same thing

And no, Verizon has NO gsm towers.
