Its a great marketing strategy, lets say $149.99 plus the data package, plus your minutes, and texts, plus insurance, all together is at least $100.00 a month assuming that you just get the Everything Plan (Or whatever Verizon calls it, if applicable.) If the Storm were more than lets say $250 not as many people with no knowledge of the device or features would want to buy it meaning that sales for the unit would go down and not as many plans a year. Because the price point is less than people will probably think less about whats actually required with the device (Data etc.) because the price is so attractive, and bam, 1 mil sales.

The manager at the store I work at said that it's gonna be $299 on contract, and $599 for early upgrades.

UR manager is an IDIOT.

early upgrades ARE 2 year contract pricing. you obviously dont work for verizon.

early upgrade on primary lines = 2 yr pricing + $20. fee.

new every 2 pricing = 2 yr pricing - 50 or 100 credit.
