Verizon preparing first phones for next-gen PTT

An internal document about two of Verizon's upcoming PTT phones has leaked. While Verizon has offered PTT service for years, these devices appear to mark the move to its next generation PTT. This technology seems to be similar to the QChat technology Sprint uses on the recently launched Sanyo PRO series phones, which were announced earlier. One of the devices is the Motorola V750, a phone that we brought you the first images of a few days back, and the other is the rugged Casio G'zOne c711. Both devices feature EVDO, Bluetooth, GPS, camera and music players. Interestingly, both also feature a good amount of on-board memory with the Motorola sporting 128MB and the Casio 256MB. The document makes no mention of when these devices are expected to launch, however, rumors indicate that the next-generation PTT service is expected toward the end of May.

This is going to be off the hook! I can't wait to see the new pix of the GZ'one. It has an electronic compass?? Hopefully a nicer camera this time around. And an onboard music player. Casio pulled out the stops and listened to all the customer feed back; plus if you look at the specs, it's not much larger than that motorola. As a vzw employee, who sells a lot of the gzone and gets a lot of feed back, the addition of a music player, enhanced ptt, electronic compass and smaller size should make this a hit.

Not QChat
QChat is owned by Sprint/Nextel. VZW's Next Gen PTT is VoIP Rev A based PTT. You will not be able to PTT a Sprint/Nextel customer. Hope to see some pics of the c711

Sprint won't go bankrupt verizon won't win any customers as long as they continue to lie to customers from one day to the next. You can never get a straight answer.

Not QChat is right
Nextel had exclusive development deal on QChat with Qualcomm, Sprint has it now. Verizon does not. Get YOUR facts right no. 4.

It is Qchat !!
The only proprietary thing that Sprint has on Qchat is iDen-CDMA interoperability. Verizon is using QChat over EVDO rA. It is owned by Qualcomm and licensed to whomever pays the rights. i.e., Verizon!!

Anyone notice on the Blackberry Curve for Verizon it is Push to Talk Enabled? I played with a pre-release version that had it, now i see in the description it has it, anyone know if this holds true?
