I would like to see the person who honestly thinks they can put up a fair argument about whether the iPhone is the reason for these spontanious touch-screen phones. Every person who seems to argue with me just gets mad and logs off. They just can't face the facts. Is that so hard to beleive?

that made the phone even better lol thats what i hated about the glyde...thats a main reason why i got rid of it other than how it sucked and constanly shut off haha

shouldn't it be possible to use the samsung instinct on verizon? you just wouldn't get the sprint multimedia stuff. im sure neither network would want to do it at this point since both just released such similar phones, but later on..
and sure you wont get official support for the phone, but who cares.

To that moron who made that crack about The Voyager not being the iphone...I say Thank God it is not. I had the iphone for 3 months and I sold it for the Voyager. I have absolutely no regrets. The last firmware upgrade has made the Voyager's browsing experience a close second to the iphone.

What, you say, the iphone has that youtube link? Well, any video you see from youtube on the iphone can be seen on the Voyager AND the Voyager shows viewers' comments...the iphone doesn't.

Want to watch TV on the iphone or the Dare? Sorry-NO TV.

MMS on the iphone? NOPE
Video capture on the iphone-NOPE
Want to change your iphone battery? Pay $85 and get a loaner for 3 days while yor phone is sent out for battery replacement....Need to resize that image on the browser? Pinch...with the Voyager it is a quick and easy push of a rocker button.

Even stuff being added on the iphone 3g has been on the Voyager like bulk email deletion...having trouble typing? Use the keyboard on the iphone and Dare..what???? Both phones do not have a keyboard? The Voyager has a full Qwerty keyboard....well, there are other phones...let's see...I want to see the desktop version of the nytimes.com on my phone....iphone-check...Voyager-check...Instinct-NOPE-Only the wap version....Lg Vu...Nope, only the wap version....Glyde owners, want to access the mobile version of youtube.com like you can with the Voyager? Well, DREAM ON because the Glyde cannot access m.youtube.com...Take all of your great phones and line them up against the Voyager and they ALL fall short.

u make good points about the voyger. Dont get me wrong im not defending the iphone I hate the iphoner but A smartphone is a whole different catogorie than a regular phone or multimedia phone. So u really cant compare them its like trying to compare the voyager to the htc diamond or touch pro, xperia,Ominia.

Well heres the thing for you, first of all the vx10000 is a decedent of a great model of a specific manufacturer. First we had the V, then the vx9900 env which made significant improvements over its predecessor, then to top it off we had the vx10000 or the "Voyager" which improved over all its predecessors, but if you recal correctly the voyager was not without flaws at first, which firmware updates took care of over time.. So I am hoping the same goes for the vx9700 "dare", its is a successor to the prada and vu in almost every way minus the fact you cant watch mobi tv, which isnt that big of a deal.. The touch screen responsiveness is a bit buggy right now and so is the call quality. I am hoping in time with firmware updates it will be fixed and be just like the Voyager in that aspect.. Remember its not a qwerty clamshell phone, its a touch phone and just like the Voyager it has come down a line of previous similar phones but has been tweaked here and there..

To the moron who thinks the Voyager is better than all the other touch-screen phones (wolftrades). The Voyager has numeral glitches. For one, if you use the on-screen qwerty keyboard for Mobile IM it resets my phone when I try to send the message. The phone constantly unlocks itself and calls someone in my pocket. I received a $500 phone bill by visiting a few websites using the Voyager's browser (this would not have happened with the iPhone). The battery on the Voyager is beyond weak. I try to play a game on it for 15 minutes at most. Then I put it in my pocket for the rest of the day (I did not even take it out of my pocket before I played the game). Pretty soon I look and the battery is completely empty on the screen and bzzz (I had it on vibrate) the phone died. I was away from my charger so I had no access of power for the stupid thing. I will stick it in my pocket or somewhere else, then the phone turns itself on (if I turned it off) because the buttons on the front are bulged out to where practically anything could control the phone (this would not have happened with the iPhone's cleverly designed buttons). Again, the iPhone took 2 and a half years to create. The Voyager took a few months along with all the other touch-screen phones currently being developed. Also, to the idiot who said the Dare had been in development for almost a year. That is completely FALSE. It have been 6 months (half a year) at most. Oh, and to the poeple who say the iPhone sucks because it is on AT&T, this is called phonearena.com not wirelesscarrierarena.com. We are here to judge phones (and apparently argue over stupid crap like which one is better) not phone companies. So please go find something better to do. I think I have opened several poeple's eyes just now.

Trevor, how do you forward text messages?

My mistake, I really didn't make myself clear. You will be able to make forward txt messages with the iPhone when the iPhone 2.0 software update comes out in July. My bad.

Mine came this morning. I'm loving it so far. I'm especially glad it came with the USB cable and VZ Access Manager software and VX9700 drivers, so I can use it as a tethered modem without having to buy a seperate "Office Kit" like I did with my VX8600. The touch screen works great. I love the virtual qwerty keyboard for texting!

i just got the lg Dare.... it's awesome.... very satisfied... i do recommend buying the screen protector for the phone.... i also bought the silicone cover works great too.. there was a rumor where u get to upload pics or videos to myspace or facbook, i don't see that in the phone... unless someone wants to correct me...the camera works great 3.2 mp ...and touch screen/ sensor is not bad at all.. the scrolling is easy... i recommend getting the vcast package it works great, if you're upgrading or new activation u get a month free.. and any question about the phone just ask....
