#71, so u telling such a move by Verizon has nothing to do with AT&T/Iphone pressure... U definetely brainwashed by vzw. U trully a fan-boy. What about the subcribers? 13 millions plus. Also, they both CDMA. Let me guess sprint's next???

that's 1 of the reason y vzw drop $99.99 plan. And believed me they lost alotta customer due to the Iphone and that's a facts. Vzw gets scared of competitions and AT&T bring it to them.

actually we still offer the 99.99 unlimited plans...we were the first to introduce it. why would we discontinue it? you know whats funny ATT has over 5,000 lines with us. you want to know why. because when theyre fixing their landlines in some places they dont have service...so they use our cell phones. and if you go into any store and ask to see our "ecpd profile" listings...and youll see FOUR AT&T accounts

i dont understand how youre saying we lost customers when we have the LOWEST churn rate in the industry with the HIGHEST net gain. we gain 1.5 million and AT&T gained 1.33 million despited their release of the 3g iPhone. oh and also AT&T lost more customer than we did...their churn rate was 1.6 and ours was 1.12 sorry but your facts arent facts JUST dream.

youre fighting a losing battle...the fact that verizon turned down the iPhone and still gains MORE customers then ATT is a slap in the face...and the fact that ATT picked up the iPhone and lost more customer than verizon is also a slap in the face. Just the fact that Apple approached Verizon first with the phone should tell you something.

#83 U're lying. U know y ? Because they never approach vzw about that. They using CDMA AT&T use GSM. Iphone come with a sim card last time I checked vzw don't use sim card... I bet u got these facts on vzw website... No wonder!

http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/29/verizon-passed-up-apple-iphone-deal/

You know phone manufacturers can switch out the GSM chip for a CDMA one? Some phones have both!

And why does every single article break down into an iPhone vs. the world? I'm surprised nobody is claiming that Apple invented the internet, because it is on the iPhone.

whether you want to believe it or not the fact of that matter is that Apple approached Verizon with the phone first before the phones prototype was even created. once Verizon and Apple couldnt reach an agreement Apple went to ATT and thus the iPhone was created in a GSM version. i dont really feel like bickering with people all day on the site...but let me just point out that this was a Verizon topic and you guys chose to click the link and add your 2 cents. if you dont like Verizon keep it moving, but the fact remains that verizon gains more customers and loses the least amount of customers...and these numbers arent fabricated theyve been published by BOTH Verizon and ATT. so bit the bullet and accept the fact that Verizon is a more profitable company with the largest amount of loyal costumers and the largest amout of new customers DESPITE the release of the iPhone. Verizon didnt need the iPhone and we've proven it quarter after quarter...

P.S. you guys are throwing teh term fanboy around like its a frisbee when really you are a prime example of a fanboy....i mean you took the time to enter this topic and start bashing and arguing with people over something that had no interest to you. hmm and you call them fanboys...i dont really see alot of verizon "fanboys" entering ATT topics and bashing the article, i wonder why that is...

#93 u made alotta good points. My question to u is, if ur vzw so ' Great ' why they even lost any customers whatsoever??? Don't u think not alotta people is a FATHEAD FANBOY LIKE U. Uh uh!

losing customers is inevitable for ALL carriers. some people join the military and cancel while they go over seas, family deaths, some decide that they really dont need a cell phone at all. but keep in mind this is retail so its impossible to make every single customer happy...especially in the wireless industry so if someone is upset about a bill or faulty device or they simply want to shop around then they sometimes cancel. but OVERALL verizon loses the LEAST amount of its customers.

im more than willing to have a discussion but could you atleast try to refrain from all of the childish antics such as calling me a "fat-head fanboy"
