Verizon today announced that VCast Music is now compatible with Rhapsody's subscription service. The service runs $14.99/month, and using the VCast Music with Rhapsody software users can download from Rhapsody's collection of over 5 million tracks and freely move them onto up to three devices, such as their phone and mp3 player. If they want to own the song, users can purchase it DRM-free for $0.99 from their PC or $1.99 if they download it over the air from their phone. In the latter case they can also download a second mp3 copy for their computer. Compatible devices include the upcoming LG Chocolate 3, as well as the LG
Decoy and LG Dare; MOTO W755; Samsung SCH-u550, Samsung Glyde and
Samsung Juke. Those with a MOTORIZR Z6tv, MOTORAZR² V9m or LG
VX8700 can go to the store for a software upgrade that will make them compatible.
