Verizon XV6700 / HTC Apache to be released in January, 2006

Verizon Wireless version of HTC Apache - XV6700 is expected to join the line-up of Verizon's advanced devices on the 5th January, 2006 for business and later, on the 19th for full retail as well, according to a post on Howardforums. The dual-band CDMA smartphone, running on Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, features:

  • 65k color QVGA touchscreen display
  • Bluetooth
  • QWERTY sliding keyboard
  • 1.3 megapixels camera with flash and video capture
  • EV-DO high-speed data
  • Intel PXA270 416MHz processor
  • 64MB RAM; 128 MB Flash ROM
  • WiFi

The XV6700/HTC Apache Pocket PC Phone will be available from Verizon for the price of $519.99 or for $399.99 with two-year contract.
