i played with the dare already.. its a really nice phone. I am waiting for it to come out so I can get it. the touch screen is like the vyager but much better and refined. I dont know the pricing or the exact date it wil come out but it will definely be out in july!!! most likely the first week (i hope)

all i can say is that its a very very nice phone!!!! just hope the battery lasts long

does anyone know the about asking price for the Dare? i heard two different ranges, 1st i heard that it would be in the $199-$249 range and then up above someone said it would be $299-$399. can anyone confirm?

$1-$10,000 I personally guarantee it falls into that price range. people need to quit making retarded speculations, it'll prolly be priced a little more than the vu but who knows wut incentives vzw will put with it

I work with Verizon and the starting price of the LG Dare (VX9700) will be less than the starting price of the Voyager so it WILL be below $299.99 and we are not 100% sure of the exact price.

online release on July 4, in-store release mid-July. Not sure how much money but like the guy above said, it will probably be priced a little more thand the Vu which is an AT&T phone. there is a virtual keyboard but other than that its a full touchscreen phone.

june 26th online* july 3rd in store. price (opinion)- 399-449.99 out of contract. 299 - 1 year / 249.99 2-year. it has a virtual keyboard where you can use t9 in standard mode, and it also has a landscape texting feature to display a touch qwerty keyboard.

im due for an upgrade also. Im thinking about getting the dare but only 1 thing holds me back is no WiFi. I cant affored the extra 15 a month to have internet so it would be great to have it free in hotspots. Although im not going to switch from VZW, so can some one just tell me right now that VZW WILL NOT put out a phone (unless its a smartphone/businessphone) that has WiFi for a LLOONNGG time so I will just use my upgrade on the Dare...

i believe that since they have the new iphone that is so cheap the other touch screen phones are going to be gone if verizon doesn't lower their prices! and also they the prices raised cuz itz a new phone and all new phones cost more DUHH! So maybe waiting a little longer for the phones are better and it sucks cuz they r all really awesome phones and for the people who only had their new phone for half a month (ME) it's sucks to wait but i will probley end up getting a new phone before my contract is up cuz every B-day i get a new phone in another six months and they give it to me 4 free as a B-day prez.! :)

To the idiot on top. The only reason the Iphone is the "best-seller" is because of stupid IPODS ( useless piece of craps ). Consumers think they look cool with their iphones just as their friends did with their ipods. Nothing more if the LG had their own ip i bet that the Dare will sell more than it would probably on the 26th of June. In all Apple should have died and the stupid ipod's wouldnt be out wasting peoples money on them. One main difference about the phones that will be easily noticed will be their web browsers. Iphone has Internet Explorer while the Dare will most likely stick to their own crappy browser.

The iPhone is a best seller for a reason, it handles better than any other phone in its class. You can not deny that the iPhone has the BEST music player seen on a phone. Its also hard to deny that it has the BEST touchscreen, its larger, more responsive, and more user friendly(the problem with most touch screen phones is that the touchscreen never works). WIth the new price of only $200 for an iPhone i would say it is the other phones who are taking peoples money, how will all these sub par touchscreen phones be able to compete with the iPhone when they dont even have a price advantage. The iPhone also does not have Internet Explorer, and THANK GOD for that. The iPhone has Safari, your not going to find a better web browser on a phone. Apple is a great product and most people who insist on bashing the company are usually doing so just because they dont have and Apple product, and they want to make their (not as good as apple) products seem better than they actually are. I would be interested in hearing how exactly the iPhone is a bad phone.

The iPhone is cool, dont get me wrong. And when its unlocked, its even better! To say the touchscreen is the best, is a little exaggerated. First hand comparing to the voyager, they work equally in a positive/negative way! I still have my voyager and my brother just sold his iPhone! It has really neat capabillities but sucks on a phone level! Plus the network its on is nothing to brag about!

I work with Verizon and the Decoy has already been released as you know.
The Dare is available online and shipping availability as of June 26 (Two Days)
Also the price is going to be less than the Voyager started out as so it will be less than $299.
Its a really cool phone very similar to the iPhone or the Voyager (- the QWERTY keyboard)

Also NEWS: We are releasing a VCAST Plan where you can listen to unlimited songs directly on your handset for less than 2 cents a day.
The bad part is that you can only listen to the music where there is service =/

Oh... And the Chocolate 3 (VX8560) we have no plans of releasing it and has not even been intorduced to the company.

what I want to know. is how the internet is going to work.
Is it like the Voyager's crappy like internet or is it like the Iphone internet browser?
Because thats going to be the reason on buying the Dare or just some typicall PDA

The Dare will actually have the same exact browser as the Voyager.

Basically...
Everything on the Dare is the exact same, the touch screen, the browser, get it now, and all that
The Major Differences are that
1. the Dare obviously has an "improved" design or a different design
2. the Dare has a 3.2 MP Camera with Flash... unlike the Voyagers 2.0 mp without flash
3. the Dare is 0.5 inches in diamater vs. the Voyager is 0.7 inches

Also the Dare has the new "Media Center" vs. Voyagers regular "Get It Now"

The Dare will be way more faster and have better call quality and it will be way more customizable unlike the Voyager where all your custimization are Color vs. Black & White, Large Text vs. Small Text and I really like the fact that

THE DARE WILL BE LESS THAN THE STARTING PRICE OF THE VOYAGER ... LESS THAN 299!!!

Oh and somewhere there was something about no digital zoom but there is ... and the camcorder is VGA and someone I believe was talking about that.
