US Touch Dual met FCC

Although it was officially announced during the CTIA show in Vegas in the beginning of the month, it is interesting to know that the U.S. variant of the HTC Touch Dual is approved by the FCC. After the federal commission gave its “Yes”, the phone can now be offered in the States. Currently, no plans for carrier availability have been announced, but other HTC phones (including Touch series) are available with every major carrier, so this is not impossible.

The Touch Dual is the slider member of the Touch family, revealing a 20-key SureType-like QWERTY hybrid keyboard when opened. It has the second generation TouchFLO interface personalization, similar to the CDMA Touch. We’ve reviewed the European version, which is absolutely identical, save for the UMTS frequencies, so you can check it out here.
