Right on cue, Verizon has now released the 4th phone to carry the Chocolate name. The new LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 is the first to come with a 3.2MP camera and full touchscreen interface, measuring 3" diagonal and with a resolution of 400x240 pixels. The device comes with 1GB of internal memory dedicated to storing music, but can also use microSDHC cards up to 16GB in size. The music player has several equalizer settings (called Dolby Mobile) and will even allow you to join in by showing a virtual drum set and piano keyboard. Not only that, but you can listen to your favorite MP3s and FM Radio Stations while performing other tasks, such as messaging or web browsing. Pricing of the LG Chocolate Touch is $79.99 after a $50 rebate with a 2-year contract, $149.99 after rebate with a 1-year contract, and $259.99 full retail.
UPDATE:
Alltel has also launched the LG Chocolate Touch, however, by the name of LG AX8575 Touch. Unlike Verizon, Alltel's version is available for free after $50 mail-in rebate and with a two-year contract. Another big difference is the design of the back side, which here lacks the off beat look of Verizon's version.
