Cricket was invented first so to be fair, I guess baseball is like cricket.

It's also a crappy regional carrier.

someone will just come up with a way to hack the phone and add wifi....

unless you add hardware, you can't hack wifi in.

I agree, WiFi is a separate technology like Bluetooth. That would be like hacking a CDMA phone to work on GSM, it can't happen unless its built to.

*No VIDEO ACCELERATION
*No LED, regular TFT LCD
*No 16.7 MILLIONS TRUE COLORS LIKE THE THE IPHONE
*ONLY 65000 COLORS WITH OUT 3D ACCELERATION SO IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS 3.2 MP OR 13.2 MP CAMERA
*No WIFI
*No SIM CARD BUT ITS A WORLD PHONE(ARE YOU SERIOUS?)

You have to add a SIM card from Verizon for it to work with GSM (overseas). It will not work with US GSM providers (AT&T, T-Mobile). You don't need WiFi since it has nationwide EVDO Rev A while in the US, but still would be nice. I agree the screen sould be 262K colors, not 65K.

Ummm... "Verizon, not every body is idiot"? I believe you should have said "Verizon, not EVERYBODY is AN idiot." Well, maybe not everybody, but you sure are. Go back and at least try and get a GED, please!

typically idiotic response from a VZW fanboy. Many have no problem affording things, but won't buy them unless they see the VALUE in it.

an 8gb card DOES come included. this was announced by verizon in the official press release on there site.

also for those complaining about Wifi, the 9500 flavor of the storm does not have wifi either and that has NOTHING TO DO WITH VERIZON.

no CDMA Blackberrys have wifi because its not needed. 3g cdma is nearly cost to coast now adays and the cdma carriers dont own any wifi networks, thus no big request for it. it costs rim more money to add these things so they leave it out.

perhaps you are not aware but if you get a blackberry, any blackberry (pearl, curve, storm, 8830 it doesnt matter), you have to have a data plan. its not an option. you will pay 24.99 minimum for internet and email(10mb) and most will pay 29.99 for unlimited

Wifi would only be nice if you did not live in a 3g coverage area or just had to have the max speed possible. 3g is almost as fast and is avail across nearly the entire vzw network.

Since you have to have the plan, and since 3g is fast, whats the problem?

Regardless of wifi, I wish (personally) more phones were coming out on Sprint. I have a SERO plan, (plus another 22% off) and no way in hell i'll switch to any other carrier, regardless of the phone. I'd end up paying almost as much for unlimited data and unlimited text with another carrier, then I would with my whole SERO plan. I have unlimited everything BUT minutes. I have 500 min, and with insurance on the phone, and all taxes, I pay $35.

I highly doubt any other carrier will match that either, even if I tell them i'll switch today if they match it.

So I patiently wait for more Sprint phones. The 2 newest ones that are only worth looking at are the HTC Diamond and Pro, and then the 800w. Took the 800w back and had WAY too many problems. I'm hoping they release a new Blackberry on Sprint soon. If AT&T is getting the Bold, Verizon the Storm, then I wonder what Sprint will get, and when? I hear the Javelin or Niagara, but who really knows. There will have to be something soon, to keep the Sprint people happy.

are you serious dude? f**king retard. do you really think that people have any powers over the rateplan? the rateplans can not be changed. god i was gunna go on a tangent but people like you are not worth my time. just know that you are really dumb, and you're every cellphone sales person's worst nightmare.sales people can not change rateplans on any network. its not possible, so if you really think that you're gunna find a carrier that will modify a rateplan just to get you to switch, than you have no hope and you suck at life

Wrong.. Version 4 is the app that will be used. I just did a training on the device today. Number 54, it does have 3d acceleration and a sim card. Also it will edit microsoft office documents and power point.
