The Nokia 7705 Twist has been introduced by Verizon Wireless. This is a square handset-and by square we are referring to shape only. The front swivels to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. Short cut buttons give the user quick access to the 3MP camera, web browsing, voice commands, speakerphone and V CAST music with Rhapsody. The Nokia 7705 Twist can be purchased online starting September 13th at www.verizonwireless.com, and at stores beginning September 21st. After a $50 mail-in rebate, the cost will be $99.99 with a 2 year contract.
Besides the camera, short cut button and the swivel out QWERTY, the device offers a 2.4 inch QVGA screen with connectivity to Big Red's Ev-Do rev.0 3G network, a media center where you can download games, threaded messaging, an HTML browser, and a "Post to Blogs" feature that allows for posting multimedia to a social networking site. Those purchasing the Twist online from October 6-October 29 will receive a free picture frame phone lanyard while supplies last, to support domestic violence prevention and HopeLine.
