I can tell you right now that you're wasting your time arguing over the top two cell phone compainies, and don't come at me with statistics you find on the internet about how ATT and Verizon are not the top two cell phone providers. We all know that ATT and Verizon are the top two, and that if 9 out of 10 people had their choice, they would choose one of these 2. Niether of them suck, so it is pointless arguing with eachother about how one is worse than the other, no ones going to win this argument because they are both equally great companies.
I work for ATT and my husband works for Verizon, we both carry ATT phones. These are wireless phones people, they're not home phones, we're not going to get service everywhere no matter how bad you want it. And just because you don't get service everywhere or you get a drop call, doesn't mean that compnay sucks. True, certain areas Verizon may work and ATT doesn't, just like you can find plenty of places where ATT works and Verizon doesn't. That's just how this wireless cell phone technology works people, but talking trash about either of these companies, is pointless. I think we can all be adults and put aside statistics and all of this "techy" garbage and say hands down, ATT and Verizon are both great in all aspects. Neither of them are perfect or have anything that puts the other company to shame.
With that being said, I want to address a few of your "smack talk" comments
ROLLOVER - Those of you that think Rollover is a joke, are ridiculous. Who in their right mind would think that? Verizon and ATT have the same plans/minutes for the same price, why wouldn't you want a feature where you get to keep your unused minutes in a "bank" there for you to dip into if you ever go over your minutes. Working for ATT, I sesee on a daily basis where rollover minutes have saved customers from receivng 300 dollar phone bills. No one uses the same amount of minutes every month, sometimes you go over ur minutes, sometimes you use less than that, we don't all talk the same amount every month. Rollover is great, and anyone who knocks it..is an idiot. You pay monthly for a certain amount of minutes, and if you don't use them you lose them with anyother compnay, only ATT lets you keep the minutes that YOU PAY FOR, until you need them. Some instances rollover has been such a great feautre that some customers have built up 10,000 rollover minutes, then they decide that they're just going to cancel their house phone and use up all their rollover minutes, and save themselves 60 bucks a month on a house phone, then when they've used up all their rollover minutes, they just up their cell phone plan to more minutes and still save money on the end.
and our 3g coverage, I don't know whose complaining about that, but whoever is, again an idiot. Who cares if it's takes some time to make all of the areas that we currently have reception in also have 3g? Rome wasn't built in a day. I'd rather have 3g coverage in certain areas that none. And again here in maryland, we have 3g coverage pretty mcuh everywhere and it works great, it's steadily increasing in areas, and knocking att for not being able to snap their fingers overnight and poof make everything 3g, is ridiculous.
So, to wrap it up....why don't you now start an argument about tmobile and Nextel, you guys can all argue about which ones better, even though they both suck, just like your trying to argue about verizon and att and which ones worse even though they're both great. It's like a bmw owner and a lexus owner arguing about whose cars better. lexus has better intertior, bmws isn't as modern, so bmw sucks. I mean come on guys.........lets get real. Just because you have Verizon and you don't have ATT doesn't mean you have to spend your time trashing the compnay that you decided not to go with, when you know yourself that it's a gresat company.

to the lady who works at att w a husband at verizon. first off your husband could be fired because you work at att. but thats besides the point. i agree that rollover isnt a joke, and can come in real handy. but dont you pay extra for rollover minutes and/or loss mobile to mobile? this makes rollover pointless for the average user. because att has so many customers (as does verizon), the lack of m2m would make you use a lot more minutes. rollover mostly helps people who barely use the phone. people who barely use the phone dont tend to be big spenders when it comes to wireless. meaning att has rollover to attract old people who dont use the phone much. old people dont make att much money. it doesnt really help the average user.
you also said "att lets you keep the minutes that you pay for, until you need them". isnt it really att lets you pay more/substitute another feature out for the minutes that you dont use so that you can use them later, as long as they have not decayed yet??
lastly, a bmw and mercedes comparison would have been a lot more valid then bmw vs lexus.
ummm rollover minutes may be appealing but if you think about it theyre still going to waste. what makes you think that having roll over minutes is a good thing when youre not even using your initial minute allowence.

Why does your husband carry Att. I would find it very hard to do my job and sell a product i dont even have. He would prob make a lot more commision if he had verizon and had the personal experience of using it. Then he could buy you more stuff. Also I honestly have never not had service with verizon ever and Im not lying. Soooo yeah verizon is better than att as a user of both providers. If you dont have verizon how would you know? And what are you talking about with the whole 3g thing anyways? How is it better to be behind on data speed? I still cant believe the whole network isn't 3g yet. I feel like ive been hearing about it forever.

I love people who post i work for ATT and my husband for Verizon. Funny thing is does he work for Verizon or Verizon wireless. If it's wireless he probably can't sell much cause he can't even show his own phone. ATT can't get 3G rolling over the nation. VZW has 3G over the nation. All ATT cares about is major cities just like Sprint. Sprint may actually have a bit fast speed than VZW but only carry major cities. What about the common people out in po dunk town. Hell there is a town about an hour from where I am that has 3G network. There's 100 people in it and can't get any internet but dial-up. At least VZW looks to try and get service to the hard to reach areas. And the person who commented about people out driving around for VZW. I have met two of them. They have 6 cell phones from each company in their trunk and two aircards from each company to see who gets service better where so VZW can upgrade service better than others.
OMG@! finally a super cool phone for VERIZON!!!!! yea! suck on that u at&t sprint lover hippies! =-P u wish u had our tech! dream dream u sad people! oh i have a iphone! lolol yea no 3G or push email! hahahaha! this will be the best busines and average tech junkies dream! cant wait for it!
ahhh the insurance claim how great. I was a store manager for Verizon and now for ATT ATT is better employee based thatn vzw was. Now get the insurance thing straight att will offer insurance on ever phone except the apple iphone due to apple stipulations on insurance on their handsets. No longer will that be a valid excuse
to above commenter accusing husband will lose job. You are uneducated and incorrect. Verizon Wireless and AT&T Mobility/Knowledge Ventures have what are called conflict of interest forms that all spouses who's spouse works for another wireless company must sing, stating that no internal secretes will be shared, if the before mentioned statement is violated then the individual would then be terminated.
Just to educate you all the main reason vzw went to mb for data is so they can roll out open access asap. Other carriers don't bill data @ minutes they bill them @ mb. Also the main reason vzw is going to use lte is that they want to be able to roll out global plans. How nice would this be for the international traveler? Pay this much a month and be able to use your phone all over the globe. This is where having vodafone as a part owner of vzw comes in real handy. Also for the at&t lady, it's clear that you fell for the at&t brainwash in the trainings you went to.
People.. come on.. All i have to say is who was wireless carrier of the year for 2008...?? VERIZON =) Besides, the network is faster than anyone else's.. The Iphone is played out.
Lol. i cant believe i sat here and read every single one of comments. what kind of nerds are you people arguing over cell phone service? that's ridiculous, and thats coming from a Verizon employee. i mean i think cell phones are pretty cool and interesting too, but you geeks know way more than you should. however, i do commend you for going out and researching some of the useless information that you have come up with (even though some of you are wrong as all get out). my only question is, if you all are so smart, why cant the majority of you spell correctly?
I agree...You are all tools and a product of our screwed up society...While you whine and complain about your cell service the rest of the world is passing you by...Get outside, somewhere where you can't pick up a cell signal...and try to prioritize the things that really matter in your lives...pathetic.
BTW...I have a sprint bb curve...I can answer/send emails, get/send txts, email pics of my kids to their grandparents...and guess what? It is about #79 on my list of priorities in my life. Every weekend I get out to canoe, kayak, camp, etc and I have no cell signal...it is awesome and puts perspective on life...Try it geeks, you may like it. Plus your pale, soft, tender bodies may toughen up a bit.

i myself am a verizon employee and just came from at&t and will not switch services because.. why the fuck for when the best cell phones go to at&t and where i live i get 3g. Honestly tried verizon out but the fact is i got the same service there data isnt the noticabbly faster. the phone line up sucks.. and plus i like being able to switch from phone to phone in a breeze and not deal with customer service to switch phones not to mention wait on the phone.. the choice is clear At&t rules!!
