The Samsung Jet S8000 gets a major update

There are improvements in both the phone browser where you can now use the volume rocker to scroll pages instead of zooming on things and the multimedia menu. According to the customer feedback, the gallery now loads and runs faster, but opens pictures more slowly. The list of other novelty features includes active Twitter, MySpace and Facebook widgets (until now they were simply shortcuts to the mobile pages of the social networks) as well as a new background picture for the 3D cube.
The update is available here after a short registration, but you better read the instructions carefully, because there are versions of the Samsung Jet S8000 that are incompatible with the firmware pack and you may end up with a handset without 3G support.
