Teen steals iPhone, incriminates himself with e-mailed picture

This could only happen in New York City. 29 year old Sayaka Fukuda was standing on the platform for the N train at 4:30 am one day last month, holding her iPhone and her purse. 18 year old Daquan Mathis and an accomplice grabbed both from her and after a struggle, threw the purse onto a train and got on it with both the purse and the handset. She figured that would be the last she would see of her touchscreen and her purse, but when she got home she put a call in to the police. Fukuda turned on her PC and was shocked to see that her mugger had emailed a picture of himself (on the right) to his own email account using her phone, and a copy of the photo was sitting right in her outbox file. After passing the picture on to the cops, Fukuda sent off an email to Mathis, telling him that she had given the picture to the police and that he should expect to get busted at any moment. He responded with a threat to her life. It turns out that the authorities had a mug shot of Mathis on file and he was soon led away in handcuffs. He confessed to other robberies including the snatching of an Apple iPod. Is this what happens when fanboys go bad?

I see that red, seemingly "webbed" printed artifact in the bottom left corner. Was that retarded criminal wearing a Spider-Man mask by any chance? I guess you're never too old to be a fan of "Spidey"!
