On 30th of July, T-Mobile may release the new Sidekick 2008 (formerly known as Gekko) which will feature interchangeable faceplates. Every Sidekick 2008 will come with a black one and an additional green one in the box. There will be 11 prefabricated faceplates available for purchase and you can create and order a custom one online . For that you can use a shell redemption card (will be sold at the stores), which will save you the shipping and handling costs. There will also be an option to purchase and download themes to match your phone’s new look.

Sidekick 2008’s other features include a 2.6” wQVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera with video recording, Bluetooth with A2DP and the standard Sidekick features. Its price is still unknown, but being targeted as an entry level device, we expect it to be reasonable.

HAHAHA, that's messed up but true. Sidekicks are crappy and its browser is slooowww. The only good respectable thing about it, might be the keyboard. T-Mobile needs a savior...bad!

I had everysidekick since the b&w and i stopped at the 3 cuz they werent getting any better but id consider getting this one due to the better browser camera and video record, although i prolly wont use it cuz it'll suck ass. and yea the broswer is slow theres no denying that but i just got used to having one. but i got a tilt w/operra 9.5 for that neways...

wow...i love the lx but this just looks ugly and bulky..i hope that the 2 megapixel will be like this lg phones. Sharp and danger, and NOW microsoft should really pick up their game. It'd be really amazing if they had the sidekick with a touchscreen thats what im waiting for. But then again that comes in where the voyager and glyde comes in on verizon for touchscreen and keyboard.
