T-Mobile USA just says no to the Hero

advertisment:
With the August 5th release date of T-Mobile's myTouch 3G coming closer, one question on the minds of many was about the future plans of the carrier in regards to another Android model, the HTC Hero. Armed with the new Sense UI and supporting Flash on the browser, the handset was indeed looking like a Hero to many cellphone fanatics. But the air was already thick with the talk that the nation's fourth largest carrier would not be adding the device to its arsenal. T-Mobile USA's CTO, Cole Brodman left no doubt about his company's plans when he said today, "(T-Mobile USA) has no plans to bring the HTC Hero to market.” Note the lack of  if's, ands or buts.

Now just because T-Mobile has said no doesn't mean that, say, AT&T won't sniff around the Android device. After all, the specs are there to make this a very desirable phone, chin and all. While T-Mobile USA is saying that it doesn't need another Android handset on the shelf, we all can use a Hero every now and then.

what the hell!!!! ok android is nice but it gets boring and old. the sense UI actually brings some color to it all. all these leaks of walmart roadmaps n crap all say one thing. T-mobile G1: EOL (end of life) oct or around then. how long did it take the mytouch3G to come? like 3 months right? well you don't wanna juggle the tasks of preparing 2 android phones at once. mytouch3G is mid august. just wait until after the release and start preparing the hero!!!!! after 3 months to prepare the Hero (if they wanted it) it will be the G1's EOL. THINK PPL!!! the hero could come as the G1's upgrade!!!!! stupid not to accept it. and yes the chin is very uh, noticable. but its an awesome phone.
