Sprint's Instinct HD to arrive in mid-September, Instinct Q in November? This article contains unofficial information.

advertisment:
You can’t imagine how grateful we will be when Sprint finally announces that new Instinct. Why so? Well, guess what – a tipster of ours who seems to have attended a training session now gives us information that the phone will not be dubbed the Instinct HD, but rather the S50… again. However, this time we will just skip the name discussion here and say that the person claims we will actually see the Instinct successor hit the shelves sometime around mid-September, which isn’t that far-off.

Additionally, our source claims that the reportedly Android-powered Samsung Instinct Q will come in November, which is almost close to the previously rumored October 11 date. But is the Instinct Q going to be launched indeed? Does it really exist? Who knows?

Samsung Instinct HD Preliminary Specifications

Thanks, anonymous tipster!

Pick a name and stick with it already, changing the release dates is par for the course but this back and forth on the name is stoopid

well here we go again...good ole Sprint! they LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to not set release dates...probably because they're never actually able to stick to them. I swear...if verizon or at&t come out with plans close to sprint's price, i am gone in a heartbeat.

I agree with you...if you complain this much just because they dont set release dates... you should definitely leave sprint.

I swear people will always complain bout the little things.... its so sad.

this date is actually accurate. i was in the sprint store last week and i asked the sales rep about the S30. he told me that the new model was coming out mid september so he told me not to budge. and this was just last week before this article came out so i'm pretty convinced.

Damn it. I didn't see this one with the TP2 update. I've been waiting for the s50 for too damn long. 4 months. Seriously? This handset was supposed to launch in Q2 09. So only about 3 months late? I'm getting tired of the new phone yoyo with Sprint, if we weren't premiere customers I'd leave. But the option to upgrade yearly at new customer price is tempting. I better love this phone or its going back and I'm getting a Pre, I like my wifes Pre enough to own one.

HAHAHAHAHA, I kind of feel like that by delaying the phone's release, they inherenly keep premier members in the current plan for longer, then when you re-up with a new phone, your new 12 months period started later than you originally intended! I got my Original Instinct on early launch day in June of last year so I've been sitting here biding my time waiting for this new one to come out. Had I bit on a new phone in June, I'd already be 2 months into a new contract period. As it stands now, with a proposed September release, they have succeeded in keeping me in a plan for 2 months that I'm contractually out of, but they know that I will want the new 'hotness' when it comes out later.

you two are a bunch of cry babies. This is how companies work, they try to pick a specific date to release something but if they feel its not ready for launch they have no choice but to push it back. Would you rather them stick to a date no matter what and release a product that is nothing but problems?!! Also you gotta realize when you hear dates a lot of them are rumors and not from the source. So go ahead and cry about a couple months but realize this is just how it works at times. It's not just sprint your only focusing on sprint because you have it but sorry to tell you but its very common.

Ya Bigdog805. I know I'm crying about it, and looking back now I'm disappointed that I did. Because I strive to not be a crybaby. You're right I don't think its really Sprints fault that its delayed, and I don't assume they did it to screw me. I believe this is a good case of Hanlon's Razor, "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." Which I don't think they are stupid, I just don't think they are doing it on purpose to victimize me. But ya Thunder18 I also have been eligible for upgrade for a while, Since April. Either way, I'll patiently wait some more. Then cry more when they push it back.

OMG THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Looks like there is someone else, other than me, that thinks like an adult and not a cry baby.

Again thank you for understanding why companies do that and not cry and complain bout it.

Did anyone else notice that the s50 was dropped from the newest pic that was put up (the one thats posted by the TP2 tele-sales news brake)? What do you think that is? As for mid Sep, I spoke to CS rep myself and she told me its coming out on the 8th, but you never know. They change this stuff all the time, which sucks. But why would they drop it from this "List"?

Them making the name HD would've been very lofty, we'll see how much better it is
