Sprint's BlackBerry Tour with Wi-Fi coming next year This article contains unofficial information.

advertisment:
A high-end business-oriented smartphone without a Wi-Fi receiver sounds funny peculiar these days. However, funny or not, Sprint and Verizon are about to release the Wi-Fi-less BlackBerry Tour 9630 this Sunday. Fortunately, a WLAN-equipped version of the device will be available with the carrier sometime next year, informs FierceWireless. “Speed to market… outweighed the desire to wait for WiFi,” says Sprint’s director of business product marketing. So, it might be a good idea to wait for the more feature-packed version to launch. At least, the official also said that “"Sprint is embracing WiFi in all its major devices going forward," which means customers should not see more hot smartphones coming without the important feature.
