Sliding Walkman

Sony Ericsson W580, being a Walkman variant of S500, disposes with the extra functions, typical of this series: an improved music player, FM radio, as well as the new Shake technology for changing tracks by a jerky movement. Like many of the new models of the manufacturer, this one also features quite interesting Flash themes, which add some freshness to its appearance. One is left with a pleasant feeling when operating it and its functionality is just sufficient to meet the basic needs of the musically oriented users.

Everything is good except battery life is not as good as mentioned in the spec. i need to change my phone almost every 2 days.
No group contact ringtone and picture feature is a down side of this phone as compare to Nokia.

I got this phone,the sound quality really great.But just not satisfied with the walkman version.W910i looks more rugged.Any body can tell me,whether the walkman version can upgrade or not.I hope SE will do so!hahaha

This phone has to be one of the best I've ever had. Great reception, excellent design, and cool extras. Compared to the S500i, I would go for this one. It has a lot more features (although I do miss the changing wallpaper) than the S500, such as TrackID and a Walkman 2.0 player. The button layout could have been improved though. But they are very tactile and easy to press.

Beautiful phone. no complaints about it at all. The blend of orange and white goes so well together. The screen is so CLEAR!!, and u can even see and watch videos sideways. It was worth every penny i spent on it.

no good battery life but charge in one complete day and it will improbe, good slider phone, good sound and light efects try the sonyericsson update service and update your phone it improbe i dont have problems with it but the baterry life you have to charge it becuse it is new and put in settings conectivity, data comunication prefere service and select gprs and gsm or pc or cs it depends on your model. i put a lees screen light and improves to in battery life

this phone looks really great and 'in'. But i think that the so called fitness program is not useful. it is good that SE finally used a bettter screen, but generally, not too many suprises.

This phone looks great but on paper it seems like a step back in comparison to the 850. sliders like the samsung d807 is comparable and that was released a year ago. doubtful to see... if sold through a carrier... this is something that t-mobile would definitely pick up.
