Sony Ericsson announced the W200, we got information about a few weeks ago. As it was rumored, the W200 is budget candybar phone branded with the Walkman logo, due to its music dedicated features, including the walkman music player and FM radio. The phone’s memory can be expanded with Memory Stick Micro M2 cards; W200 packs small 128x160 pixels display and VGA camera, typical for low-end model.
The W200 is tri-band 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM phone which makes it suitable for the States. It is expected to launch Q2 this year, and as it already scored the FCC approval, we think that it’s highly possible to be available from Cingular, as one of their free phones.
While the W200a is Walkman for everybody, the Sony Ericsson W880 will be high-end device. It will be slim candybar with Walkman functionality, part of SE's high-end line. More details are expected later, and the manufacturer claims the W880 (with rumor name "Ai") will be available in the first half of the year.
