Sony Ericsson K800 Review

The K800 strives to combine multimedia functionality in a candybar-designed device with solid built quality and acceptable dimensions. But only its camera manages to perform at a high level, as at the moment it is one of the best ones featured in a mobile phone thanks to its Xenon flash. Unfortunately, this is somehow overshadowed by the low-quality camcoder, the cheap headphones in the package and the fact that it is impossible to watch high-quality video with the handset. It does very well with the phone function, as the signal strength is very good, the battery is strong and the voices during conversation sound realistic, but unfortunately, the keyboard is really uncomfortable and inappropriate for intense usage.

Hi I bought this phone for Rs.16400 + 1 GB Card for Rs. 1400. Now i have used this mobile for more than a month and could say that the phone really rocks!!! The camera is so gud and the music is as gud as well. Some people say that it is a cheap copy of walkman series...let it be a copy from walman series....it delivers good sound. The only cons. i wud say with this phone is that the speaker sound is very low that you could not hear anything while in streets. SE should update this and release a new firmware.

Its a great phone. Clear picture and sound. But its disadvantage is its keypad...I cant easily press the buttons because of its minimal distance of buttons. Its not comfortable for us guys cause we have bigger fingers than women.

I've owned a few phones now. This'll probably be my 6th or 7th. I've used Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung.

This phone has got to be THE BEST OF THE BEST! I do not regret buying this phone at all!! Everything from the camera to the keypad, screen to its connectivity options, the features are ENDLESS!!

If you're a person like me, who wants THE BEST value for money spent, then look no further than the SONY ERICSSON K800i!! Everything about this phone is AMAZING. I've had it for about 1.5 months now and have had NO PROBLEMS at all.

The battery life is great (around 3-4 days on extreme use), call clarity is perfect, the camera is near digital camera quality, the screen is bright, crisp and easy to read, AND it doubles (or should I say triples) as an MP3 player/camera/cellphone! Although I should note that ringtone volumes could be louder and with less distortion/crackling for louder ringtones.

For those of you who're a bit skeptical about its size; go to your nearest phone store and hold one in your hand. The first thing you'll notice is that it's actually not as big as you'd think. It fits perfectly in my hand. Additionally, the weight of the phone is perfect as well. It actually feels like you have something in your hand, so the likelihood of you dropping it decreases. From past experiences :P

All in all, it's an amazing phone for an amazing price. This has got to be one of the best, if not THE BEST Sony Ericsson cellphones EVER MADE!

(in my opinion, it even beats the newer K810i, which is pretty much identical in features, but is slimmer. However, the keypad is butt ugly...) :D

great phone all my mates are jelles of me brilliant camra and vidio but i think it is a bit over priced at £250 and the toogle on mine brakes sometimes over all a brill phone

It has been 6 months from now , i m having fun with it.
It has very fine camera. I have taken aprox 1000 snaps till now and even printed them, they look just fabulus.

No doubt its an excellent phone. I made sure that i really found out everything about this phone before i got it. The screen is crystal clear. Sound quality is excellent. The files are all arranged in a use friendly manner. And i think i dont have to mention further about the excellent quality of its 3.2MP camera. However, the video recording is way too disappointing. SE should have worked better on that. But hey, lets not forget the main function of the phone. Its to make calls and receive messages, remember?? It has been more than a year since the phone is out, and i dont think any phone in the market is able to beat its camera quality though. Im currenly having loads of fun with the BesPic feature of the phone :). All in all, the phone works best as a phone.

This phone is very good and it seems that Sony Ericsson have finally hit the right mark with third generation phones. The camera quality is very good but again, as said below, the video quality is extremely poor. It functions well on both GSM and 3G networks and the battery life is very good compared to it's Nokia Counterparts. I would recommend this phone to everyone who can afford it, putting into mind that it is a mp3 player, digital camera, internet device and phone all in one. That has to be a bargain.

I think this is a fantastic phone. Would recommend to anyone. Camera Quality is superb, but video is very poor. Overall, it is a very good phone that is well able to support third party applications and functions well on Irish 3G networks.

This phone is great, i would recommend this phone too anyt one i know, i have done reaserch on this phone for some time now and know the following, The design is great but because of the front vga camera and back 3.2 mp camera it ends up being rather bulky, however it manages to fit into the palm of the hand very nicely, and the extra weight makes it gentler to the hand. This phone has every feature you could want in a phone, unless you want operating systems but you should but a pda if you want that. sound quality is as good as SE could make it ,however its not perfect because lets remmemmber this is a phone not a sony walkman. Signal strength is perfect but remmemmber it mainly depends on your network, but you usually manage to get good reception every where. If you buy this phone it can be expensive but i prommise you its worth every penny.
