Skype released mobile version for JAVA phones

advertisment:
Until now, the official Skype client was only available for smartphones. Now, a beta of the official JAVA client is available, which should allow a great number of compatible devices to use it. Although the Skype page mentions about 50 phones from Motorola, Samsung, Nokia and Sony Ericsson there are many others that can also use it.

Just as the smartphone variant, the JAVA version will also allow for chatting, using Internet connection (data) as source. On the other hand, the calls (both to cell/land-line phones and other Skype users) will cost money (or your inclusive minutes) plus SkypeOut credit instead of going through the data connection.
