We have not seen a new form factor for a long time. The contemporary sliders and swivel phones are nothing new anymore, as well as the clamshells and candybars. Side-opening clamshells and sliders, dual-hinged clamshells are innovations bringing more unique look and more rational usage of space, but they have also been floating around for years.
After Samsung announced it has managed to achieve an ultra-thin display, it seems that the manufacturer has used it in its newest developments: the Dual Face models part of the Ultra (thin) line. These phones are slim devices in candybar design, with couples of displays and keypads respectively on the front and back: the front houses large display and navigation keys, while the back has the numeric keypad and small display for text.
They both use Samsung's new Sweeping Touch user interface and are tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM phones with 2-megapixel cameras and stereo Bluetooth. The one is dedicated to Music, while the other is to Video, and that gives for their different specifications:
Samsung SGH-F300 is dubbed as Ultra Music phone; its main display has resolution of 176x220 pixels, and it has 100MB of internal memory and FM radio, packed in 0.37 (9.4mm) thickness. Samsung F300 has received FCC approval in October.
