Samsung OMNIA Review

Translated from Latin, the name of Samsung’s new model means 'everything' and its main purpose is to fully satisfy the needs of the modern cell phone user. This is a phone with a unique combination of characteristics such as 5-megapixel camera, large touch display and GPS, taking advantage of the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform. In addition, this is the first device with a built-in support of not only DivX, but XviD video. The logical question 'Can it cook?' comes to mind …

I got this phone and I hate it more than any other electronic item I've ever owned. The user interface is so awful that I want to snap the damn thing in half several times a day. Also, it gets rubbish reception, bugs mean that programs crash or won't work, sometimes for days at a time, sometimes requiring a hard reset. If you listen to music, it blares the music through the speaker at high volume if you disconnect the headphones. etc.

HORRIBLE PHONE

i have an omnia and the greenish corner is bugging me.

Good review, but it would be better if the guy who narrated the Samsung OMNIA Video Review spoke more recognizable English. He mumbled here and there, and his accent was too strong.

I got this phone this week and I cna't believe how good it is. Omnia's custom interface coupled with thw windows GUI is top notch, it's so easy to use. Battery life is amazing considering what a power-house this phone is. The camera is excellent. This phone is easily better than the i-phone, just for compatibility and features. It looks better too, I won't be trading this thing for a LONG time. Buy one.

I just got this phone and am happy with it except for one thing--I can't access the 8 GB of internal storage. i contacted Samsung and they told me that was a mistake in their spec sheet. Has anybody been able to use the internal 8 or 16 GB of internal storage?

This is the worst phone I ever had, considering what it costs. It losses very easy the connection, and sometimes you cannot even make or receive calls with it even in good radio signal conditions. It is frustrating how bad the radio module is. As a smartphone it's slow (as slow as an iPhone for that matter) and power hungry. With GPS on it only lasts a couple of hours.
