Just got this phone.  It is cool, however there are some cons, like the send buttons on the edges if the qwerty keyboard, and how small the actual qwerty keyboard is.  I also dont like how the buttons are almost completely flush with the rest.  Other than the few things that i dont like, its a really cool phone.  has a loud speaker, that isnt completely crappy, can take, send, and receive multimedia messaging.  if you dont drop your phone all the time and actually take care of it, it all seems to be fine.

QWERTY keyboard
BLuetooth
Multimedia messaging including voice, picture, and video
Battery last only about a day
bad button placements on qwerty keyboard

14. My first slider

Okay, I'm usually the one who gets the simpliest flip phone because I like strait forward and easy.  This time, the hubby decided I should get the "nicer" phone, so I opted for the Gravity because I text....a lot, although I've never used a qwerty board on a phone, this one gives me the option of texting either way. A plus for me. Some things I started noticing right away, like the life of the battery - its pretty short. Also I recently went to a "Mother's Day Tea" event and forgot my camera, but I had my phone! I started taking lots of pics and video, then when I got home, I started sending my newly collected memories to my email address to save on my pc. Well needless to say I was sorely disappointed with the quality of the video and pics. I've had this phone for about a week and yes it looks cool, yes the texting fuctionality rocks, but crappy pic and videos are gonna make me return this for a better phone.

Nice design
QWERTY board
Crappy quality video recordings
Crappy quality pics

i've only had mine for about a week and i already notice all the cruddy parts of it. i've had it replaced once and today i'm going to just get a differant phone the battery only lasts for about 5 hours if your lucky, and the phone frezes alot, it drops my calls , because when i press the answer botton the screan still stays as if it's calling someone and hangs up after about 20 seconds max of talking to that person, the same goes for when your calling them, it dosn't read my memory card, and i cant get half of my texts. isnt that why i bought the phone in the first place, to text? i cant wait till my mom gets home so i can get a phone that dosnt suck!

p.s. excuse any typo's because im typing this whit a cut up hand thats to my gym locker

looks cool, is good for texting
battery life sucks, drops calls, cant send half or my texts, dosnt read my memory card

16. Great Phone but needs better battery

18 Apr 2009 by Aaron Daniel Mrozek

Ok,I have had this phone for about 4 months and well in the first couple days i noticed that i was always recharging my phone! so i called tmobile and well after about a 1 hour talk fitght to make tmobile send us a new battery it actully did last longer then 3 days! but then my phone turned it self off and then i could turn it on for half day and then went to tmobile kiosk and then they gave me there gravity battery but then that was even worse! so again we called tmobile and then i got a whole new phone and new battery and it has been the best replacment i have gotten in a while! All in all after you 2 or 3 new batterys from tmobile it does get better! WARNING tmobile will not send you a new battery, you have to fight for it almost! It took more then a hour before tmobile would belive me that i need a new phone becuase my phone wouldnt turn on anymore! Still no other complaints about the phone! Oh actully one more! sometimes when you use the keyboard to text it will add and extra charcter! Ex: type "like, it might turn out to likee" and then you always need to backspace! unless your a girl who always likes to add extra letters but not guys so much!

Great phone other wise!

Great Keyboard

17. Burn your money instead

SO I got this phone from tmobile after having crazy issues with a slide I love the qwerty but the battery sucked just a little over a month of having the phone it started shutting down when it was slid shut. Called tmobile they think I'm nutts because I just had these same type of issues with my slide... the day after the replacement arrived my roommates gravity started doing the same exact thing... then the first time I used the one they sent to replace it, it shut down when it was slid shut.... I've read that the spring pops out after about 4 months of usage, I'm so disappointed is there a qwerty type phone that works and doesn't have crazy issues and a functioning keyboard!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!

Design
-lack of customability
-sucky battery life
-"durability" with long term usage

19. Everyone wants one, but personally, they're not that good...

18 Mar 2009 by Charlie

It's okay for texting, but it could be better. The QWERTY is small and cramped, and the keys are too flush with the surface. The selection keys on the keyboard are on the very sides; it would have been nice if they were next to the screen like the Rumor/Rumor 2/Rant. The alphanumeric keypad on the front is raised, but it's just not good enough. The only two color choices are horrible, too. Plus, the 'left' button on the d-pad takes you to the same place the messaging button right next to it does, and you can't change it!

Go for a Pearl or Curve if you want a good texting phone from T-Mobile!

None, really.
Battery life is horrible, but I think I saw somewhere that Samsung is trying to fix this. My battery doesn't even last a day.

Camera is mediocre.

QWERTY could be better. Way better.
