this phone looked nice in the previews and with all the hype, but after playing with it for 10 minutes in the verizon store i got bored. touch screen is nice but kind of laggy and screen isn't very big nor is it truly utilized for how big it is. maybe i'm just not as into touch screens as a lot of other people seem to be.

by the screen isn't utilized for how big it is, i mean size to pixel ration. it seems they drew a lot of the apps bigger than than needed to be. it just feels wierd. i also agreed with 24, i wasn't impressed because its a basic qwerty phone with a touch screen. no specialness.

i also forgot to mention that it is quite bulky for the screen size and all. i thought it would be slimmer and sleeker.

Worthless phone, the touch screen isn't responsive, the top row of letters is hard to get at because there is no space between the top row and screen, and the U.I. is even less intuitive than the usual U.I. verizon uses.

I was able to get my hands on one of these babies via a friend who works for VZW. At first, the screen seems less responsive than the Voyager but changing the sensitivity level fixes that a little. The dark blue color is nice. I love blue and VZW doesn't release too many blue phones. I can just imaging if they would make this in brite Yellow ... it would fly off the shelf; not just because of the fact that the ladies would love it but it's a color you hardly see. Just my opinion ( it'll probably never happen ). I'm dying to see how this phone does in the "service" department. That's where VZ's LG phones have the edge over Samsung. Pretty high price so be sure to get the insurance. Personally though, I will make my final judgement when the Dare comes out.

I originally thought this was going to be wayy better than the Voyager, but then after a while, I realized, why not pay $50 dollars more for a hell of a better phone. O, and for the ppl complaining about price...ITS A TOUCH SCREEN PHONE!!!!! why would they make cheaper than the Razr2 or Flipshot? It's competing with the Voyager. DUH

how would it be better than the voyager? its not true HTML, its the same view that you get on a PDA, which in turn loads faster but does not show everything and is formatted to the screen. It also has less features.

The touch screen is plenty responsive. At first I turned the sensitivity all the way up but knocked it down a notch... I really wish that when viewing a webpage I could press the camera button or something like that to make hte bar at the bottom of the page go away as it eats up way too much space.... I'm hoping they either fix it or somone hacks it...

the voyager went through 4 updates within 6 months of release. Just check with vzw techs once and a while to see if they changed it. The voyager works much better now than it did at launch, and im sure the glyde will be the same way... atleast im hoping.

For all of you that say the Glyde is a crappy phone, it's not. Just because it doesn't come with all of the features that you would like it to, it doesn't make it a bad phone. We just received the Glyde at our store. It has a decent touch screen once you adjust the settings. It's not as bulky as the Voyager, which I think a lot of people will like. Most of the phones we carry have the same features that the Glyde has, but at least Samsung and LG and Motorola are giving us a variety to choose from, even if they do all of the same functions.

You do not have to go to nationwide pricing with getting the glyde. The voyager was the only phone that required the price plan change to nationwide.
