Love the look of the phone and the concept, but not sure about the lack of dedicated directional keys. Pressing the function key could get old pretty quickly.
Why does verizon use it's own inferior software when croix/touchwiz has cool features like widgets? Why water down the phone for the american market with a less powerful camera? Verizon I fear is going to severly undercut what could have been an amazing phone and turn it into just a pretty neat phone and not capitalize on its real potential... o well... I'll prolly still buy it....
Too much complaining about a phone that will be the best phone sold by verizon, once it comes out. First of all who cares about the size of megapixels of the camera, if you want more megapixels go buy a real camera like everyone else. Second, the keyboard only having 3 rows of keys will probably make it a little smaller than the voyager, which is always a good thing. Speaking of the voyager, like #20 said, why do you need two screens, you are never going to look at them both so one screen is perfect. Back to the keyboard, what does it matter if the phone doesnt have true directional keys when the phone has touchscreen? Just use that thing called a finger to go to where you want. Personally the only thing I can see that might get annoying is it not having speakers like the voyager, but thats why they make headphones. The interface could be different, but we all know that isnt going to happen with verizon so just like everything else, we'll have to deal with it. The voyager is a great phone but this phone will be a little better with a couple more stuble features.

ive seen videos of the volume for the music up all the way and its really loud and clear so there
must be some good speakers on it somewhere
THANK U #24 I couldn't agree myself I mean who cares if the cam is a 2.0 do u people seriously use the cam 24/7 what's more important a cam or texting. Compare to the voyager I like how this phone is looking. For my taste I like a slim phone. I feel the 2 screen on the voyage is a total mess up ! screen looks better. I like a sliding phone compare to clamshell opening it feels more sexy looks more appealing and it doesn't get annoying. AND WHO THE FUCK WANTS TO WATCH MOBILE TV ON A TINY MOTHERFUCKIN SCREEN BE HAPPY THAT THIS PHONE HAS INTERNET and plus it cost cheaper taking out mobile tv i rather pay $15 extra then $25 its a big difference for me. From what I'm seeing with the new pix it looks like the browser is going to be an HTML rather than the wap and it looks like their going with the croix UI. I feel this phone is more appealing and sexy than the voyager
How could you NOT care that they downgraded the phone to a 2.0 mp? i mean, the technology is already inside phone, so why not use it? my real camera only has 5 MP so having a phone that comes close would eliminate me carrying around 2 things. I have the vx9800 and the 1.3 MP camera comes out to choppy to enjoy it (the same for my friedns iphone). the main reason i was anticipating this phone was because of the original camera MP and sliding feature.
According to a user on HowardForums who has been playing with one, to use the directional keys, you only press "function" once and they're all locked into being directional keys. Pressing it again reverts the keys back to letter functions.
Granted this isn't quite like the enV or Voyager, but it DOES have touch input while the keyboard is accessed, so it really isn't a big deal.
Camera phones will never replace real cameras in my book, and megapixels dont mean jack about actual photo quality. That 8 megapixel sensor from samsung will prolly produce crap for pictures, but yet people will still buy it cause it has more megapixels.
