it would be really intresting to see how many total phones are sold, not just the new ones. Ebay for example I bet sells thousands of phones a month!

NOKIA...
NOKIA IS AWFUL. THEY ARE JUST STRAIGHT UP LUCKY TO BE HAVING SUCH SUCCESS. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ONLY DECENT HIGH END PHONES THEY RELEASE ARE ONLY FOR AT&T. EVERY SINGLE NOKIA PHONE ON VERIZON OR SPRINT IS FREE AND DISGUSTINGLY TERRIBLE. I GUESS MY POINT IS THAT THEY DONT DESERVE TO BE WHERE THEY ARE. LG DESERVES WAY MORE THAN NOKIA AND I'M SUPRISED THEY ARE AT THE BOTTOM...

i guessing u do not do research before u start talking cause if u did, u may not sound so uneducated. Nokia is number 1 due to how much they sale and having a reputation of having good quality..Go talk to verizon and sprint and ask them why they dont sale the best nokia phones..and enough with the LG should be on top..they have one good phone lately....go read a book...

#6 IVE HAD NOKIA PHONES ON MANY DIFFERENT NETWORKS, THE ONLY ONES WORTH ANYTHING ARE THE HIGH END PHONES WITH AT&T. I WORK FOR VZW, WE DONT CARRY A SINGLE PHONE THAT DOESNT COME BACK IN A MANNER OF MONTHS WITH A HUGE PROBLEM. THE STORE I WORK AT DOESNT EVEN SELL NOKIA ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THIS REASON, SO ITS MORE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THAN RESEARCH WHICH IS RESEARCH IN ITSELF YES? PROBABLY MORE IMPORTANT RESEARCH TO BE HONEST.

I have to agree with T-HUFF...Nokia is garbage. You can do all the research you want and you still won't find Nokia sold in the states. That's why they prey on large stupid markets like India, Asia. Althogh very profitable there garbage. They remind me of McDonalds, fat, greasy, and cheap.

this research might be biased, i don't know... what i DO know is, i am asian and from what i can tell you, nokia is loosing footing in sales here in Philippines - mind you second to china, the Philippines is the second largest texting nation in asia. what surprises me though is sony ericsson phones are selling like hot cakes here but they only rank 4th!? where did they base this research? who were the respondents?
