Last month we informed you that Verizon was preparing to launch a new CDMA/GSM world-phone, know as the Pantech Escapade WP8990VW. We're still not sure when the phone is due out, or for how much, but a few new pictures of the device were leaked today showing that it will have a maroon/wine color plastic exterior with a black plastic interior. We also learned that the rumors of it not having a microSD card slot are true, and that EVDO is not supported. This means the device will use CDMA 1x and D, GSM, and GPRS only. Other features include a 2MP camera, SIM slot, and a 2.5mm headset jack. We've also been told the internal display might not be QVGA as originally thought, which wouldn't surprise us, since the Escapade is turning out to be a low-end world phone and not a true competitor to the Samsung Renown.
