Nokia's new 6133 and 6131 score FCC approval

The FCC has just approved the quad-band 6131 and its look-alike – the 6133. The 6131 was announced at the 3GSM 2006, while there is still no official word on the 6133. The 6133 model is identical with the 6131, apart from a small difference in the design. The 6133 redesigns the numeric keypad of the 6131, adding some metal trim. Probably Nokia produced the 6133 as a variant of the 6131, targeting it to a different mobile carrier. Nokia 6131/6133 main specifications are:

  • Quad-band GSM “world” phone with GPRS/EDGE support
  • QVGA 240x320, 16mln color display
  • Music player supporting various formats
  • microSD memory expansion
  • Internet browser, E-Mail client
  • Bluetooth, Infrared, USB
