Ovi Maps for certain S60 devices is growing up and moving out of beta formation. The 3.0 version will really make it stand out among the crop with its new features and enhancements. In addition to having a 2D view, it'll sport a 3D satellite terrain map which can provide travelers turn-by-turn directions to their favorite locations. There's also a much improved weather service, ability to organize points of interests, and store routes directly on a device. Now if you plan on installing this, you're going to need a PC to do so – no option to download it directly from your phone. Lastly, it now supports S60 3rd and 5th editions – so go on ahead and get it on your new N97 if you want.
